Ok, I don't know if what I'm about to say makes sense and I'm in no place to say something at all bc this isn't about me but I feel bad for rooting for Josh's cheating. I don't really know now who he was cheating on, all I know is that I wanted him to be with ***, and all that time he was just being a unfaithful jerk. I hate infidelity and he kept doing this for how long? 3, 4 years? Even if deep down I think he and the leech were a fauxmance, I still feel like I betrayed my principles
First of all - you shouldn’t feel conflicted. I’m sure in your actual life, you make choices that adhere to your own personal code of conduct.
Secondly, none of us know Jen or Josh or she who shall not be named or know for sure the dynamics of the relationships.
I don’t think Jen or Josh are “bad” people. What we saw in them were two people who were lovable and likable and talented, and I really believe the time they spent together was a time where they were stable and happy and productive. I think what we saw was two people who seemed to bring out the best in each other and we rooted for that. And I do believe they were together and that they were good for each other but that doesn’t mean the relationship or they as individuals were perfect.
I think the reality is that these people are flawed and their relationships are probably problematic because they aren’t “normal” people. They became very famous, very quickly at a very young age. Furthermore, they continue to live an existence where little is denied them because of who they are. Celebrities get to have their cake and eat it too because that’s the type of world they live in. When no one says no to you, you kind of expect to do what you want and you don’t really think about the consequences.
What the real story is, we will likely never know for sure. All I can say is that neither Jen nor Josh seem to be doing well. A happy and well-adjusted person wants to be productive and finds confidence in seeking new challenges. A happy and well-adjusted person doesn’t hyperfocus on imperfections and freeze her face while still in her 20s. Fame is a bitch and it messes people up especially those who found fame at such an early age.
The bottom line is that I walk away thinking, it was great seeing them together. They were magical together and they had a real relationship that was supportive and based on a genuine friendship. There’s countless pictures and videos of them together that show their real affection for one another. I hope they can figure themselves out. And I hope they cut out bad influences in their lives so they can make healthy and productive choices in the future.
That’s my two-cents. Thanks for your message.
