And that’s when Lucy started to wonder when Gray had actually arrived. Was it today? Maybe she had bigger things to worry about like the destruction of Arcadios so she threw that out of her mind for now, and gave the ice make wizard one of her usual happy smiles.

She seemed to be quite close with Gray, but obviously not as close as she was with the other male in their team but maybe they’d be able to learn more about one another while being here? There was always time to improve a friendship after all.

But why was he flustering her so much? Lucy hated getting flustered like this because mostly she’d turn into a total tsundere, but Gray knew her well so she’d try to bat it away with a hand.

“W-well it is a bit much..” She mumbled just before he realised his own clothes were missing, and a light laugh escaped her lips as he spoke.

“You took it off yourself, Gray.” Lucy shook her head slightly, pointing back to where he stood from before. “It’s still probably over there!”

Destruction of Arcadios? It would seem as though there were many things behind the scenes that Gray had yet to learn of. All this talk of Goddess' and universal annihilation went totally over his head, though only because he chose not to focus on it. The main priority was finding the rest of his nakama and making sure that everyone was alright before anything else.

Though, knowing that shitty flame head, he was already causing all sorts of trouble.

If they really were trapped here, this was a better time than any to get to know one another, better. While Natsu, Gray, and Erza had years upon years of history to fall back on, she had come along way later. There were plenty of things that Gray was curious about. Her past. Those stellar keys that had saved their asses more than once. Tons.

Not to mention it was fun messing with her. Like right now.

"Oh well, I'll get another one in town or something. Come on, Lucy, you can show me around this place!"

And then he was grabbing her wrist and pointing off into the distance, before that same hand slowly went moving towards his belt to unbuckle it. It was really amazing how he had no conscious thought of this, either. Better stop him before she got an eyeful.

Now Lucy figured because Gray was here that soon enough this whole place wont be standing long once Natsu caught wind of this but wasn’t that all a part of the plan? That’s just how these two were after all.

So far the blonde missed her apartment but she didn’t miss her friends breaking in at every opportunity even though Natsu did exactly that here.. Lucy really couldn’t win either way but besides that it was nice to see Gray here.

It would be a relief from when Natsu bothered her also so right now she was thinking herself very lucky until…

“Sup cutie?” She repeated feeling her cheeks flush just a little bit, and why did she always feel herself burning up at the slightest of attention? But at least Gray wasn’t as bad as Loke, even though he wasn’t all that bad only most of his words made Lucy’s cheeks flush as red as Erza’s hair.

And so she watched as Gray addressed her spirit and she felt herself not knowing what to do as the male seemed to extend his arms for a hug? Lucy wasn’t sure, but come on he was half naked!

“I.. uh..” She tensed a little bit, and rubbed the back of her neck. “I’m not being a stranger or anything but Gray you happen to be half naked in the middle of Polis!”

Chances were this place wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell the moment that Natsu and Gray discovered the other's location. They had enough problems trying to get along in their own world, let alone someone else's. And with Fairy Tail apparently being rebuilt from the ground up, this would only provide an opportunity for the both of them to prove that they deserved to be made S-Rank. 

And what better way to show their worth than to beat the crap out of each other, right?

It was definitely nice to see Lucy again, and even little Plue. They had grown pretty close during the time that she had been a part of the guild, and he definitely felt something of a protective streak whenever it came to her. Maybe it was the fact that he knew her to be not particularly as "strong" as the other members of Team Natsu, though the girl could definitely hold her own with those keys of hers.

Or maybe it was something else. Brotherly instinct, or what the hell ever. He didn't know.

"I mean I guess I coulda' said hottie or something, but that seemed like a bit much, you know?" A casual rise and fall of his shoulders as she rubbed at the back of her neck, Gray's own features contorting in confusion as she went on about how he was currentlty naked. Half-naked, anyways. What in the hell was she ta-

A simple-minded idiot, the serious and obviously heroic girl, then an exhibitionist ! They were an odd combination and their methods were questionable in every existent possible way. But she knew about their potential, all those hardships kept them strong and they could do it properly ! Gray and Natsu have grew a lot, not denying how proud she felt sometimes.

As someone who didn’t expressed her feelings often in normal situations, smiling was a nice thing to do since she felt comfortable at his side.Though, this was just an average setting for them if she thought about it well.

At hearing the news of their comrades whereabouts, she brightened up more than before, that was good to uplift her spirit. Even if this was a moment of worrisome, the mere idea of reconstructing Fairy Tail in another land … it was not bad. Meanwhile they can stay together, Erza won’t ask for more.

” We’ll go and find them! That will be our main mission and— ” Sudden pause as the scarlet knight turned her head to find out he already stripped. It was entirely fine for her since it was not uncomfortable at all, she didn’t minded at all. The knight grabbed his arm and pulled him to start walking forward. There was a long way ahead them !

” And find you some clothes. ” Inquiring those weren’t going to disappear…” I can’t leave you like that at all. ”

An exhibitionist? Why the hell did people keep calling him that? Ever since he was a little kid, the tag had been following his coattails (proverbial coattails, considering the fact that he was always naked, and all.) It wasn't like he meant to strip off his clothing, it just sort of...came naturally. If anybody was to blame, it was that damn Ur and her weird ass tutelage.

Admittedly, it did his heart some good to see Erza's spirits lift as they did. Whenever the old man wasn't around, he knew that she took the burden of the guild upon her own shoulders. Particularly when it came to one of the members of Team Natsu.

One day, he hoped to make her realize that she didn't always have to carry such a heavy weight on her own.

"Main mission? Do you really have to make everything sound like work? How about we just walk around and enjoy the place until we run into them. Lucy will be fine as long as she has Loki. And Natsu...well, who cares?"

And then they were off, with Erza roughly seizing his arm and dragging him along whether he wanted to go or not. Guess they really were off to locate Lucy and the chump, then. Though he would much rather see about getting something to eat. Or at least trying to figure out where he was staying at. Huh, speaking of which...

The teen rubbed the side of his neck, and looked up at the sky. Such an oddly quiet day for him. For once. Maybe he would be able to keep this peace for awhile and take a nap.. A nap sounds really nice just about now. He had been awfully tired with the recent events, with all the other new faces he met. Nezumi just needed a day without running into them.

Hey, at least on a bright side he went about two days now without pissing someone off. Good job, Nezumi! Pats on the back for you! His day dreaming was cut off when someone spoke to him from behind. He mentally scolded himself, because he really shouldn’t be daydreaming like that out in the open. He turned around. A voice and face he didn’t recognize once again. At least it wasn’t an enemy. By how they acted; they weren’t hostile so it was unnecessary to whip out his weapon.

“Oh, well surely—” Nezumi started as the stranger started taking his shirt off.

“Okay, now that’s really unnecessary.” He said, “What are you? An exhibitionist?” Come on now. Out of all the people he had to come across, it had to be another weirdo. Just his luck and just the things he wanted to see. Some kind of stripper. Lovely. There were plenty those back in the West District.

This guy looked like he knew how to handle himself, that much was for sure. While Gray didn't immediately go on high alert, he made sure to keep a careful eye on the individual just in case he proved to be anything other than passive. While he'd much rather figure out what the hell was going on than get into a fight, he would totally blow this dude away if necessary.

Speaking of which, could he even still use magic? The presence still welled up inside of him, that much he knew, but the same thing had occurred in Edolas. Really didn't need a repeat of that whole situation, especially if it meant getting transformed into Lacryma and fighting more flying cats.

Every punch was like beating up on Happy. Not cool.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING AN EXHIBITIONIST?! That doesn't even make any sense! How about I just kick your ass now and save the bullshit explanations for later?!"

This all being said as he lividly removed his pants, leaving the Ice Make mage in only a pair of heart adorned boxers. This problem had really gotten out of hand in a matter of seconds, huh?

Recently so many things had happened over here at Arcadios that Lucy couldn’t even comprehend but the moment Natsu and Happy arrived seemed to spark something in the celestial spirit mage so now she didn’t feel so lonely or well so bored.

Meeting new people had been very easy for her to do, but she really had missed her best friend and that Exceed so much that her homesickness had really disappeared the moment they arrived. It was only a day or two ago that she overheard Natsu screaming that Erza was going to arrive and so that made her think what Gray would be doing.

It wouldn’t be Team Natsu here without him here of course so secretly much to Natsu’s dismay Lucy did hope that the ice make mage would arrive shortly.

Think of the devil and they should appear right? That’s why she wandered around Polis on a daily basis to at least come across anyone she knew from home because as the Fairy Tail members kept arriving it gave Lucy hope that maybe more members would arrive, and so she kept that hope daily with Plue at her side.

But now Lucy was not even paying attention but watching her feet and following her spirit as they continued on their search.. But a voice took her away from her many thoughts, and wasn’t that?!

“Gray?!” She spoke looking back just as he started to strip off his shirt.

Yes, no mistaking the stripping ice wizard as he was in his usual habit of stripping off his clothes and his figure either. Plue soon stopped giving out a ‘Puu Puuun’ of his own agreeing to the tone of voice she had used addressing her team member.

Glad to know that someone was actually thinking about him, though there was no telling how Gray would have taken it knowing that it had been in "secret." Then again, he couldn't really blame the girl at all. Had Natsu known in advance about his arrival, Arcadios wouldn't be allowed to hear the end of it. Stomping around breathing fire and complaining about how nobody wanted Gray around, definitely one pain in the ass he couldn't blame her for not wanting to deal with.

It would be refreshing to have the whole team back together, though. While he'd never admit it, he had missed every single one of them. Especially Lucy, it just wasn't the same without breaking into her house and eating all of her hard earned groceries on a regular basis.

So it was no small wonder when he broke out into a broad grin upon seeing her up ahead, casually tossing his shirt off into the distance and exposing his tanned body to the sun as he closed the distance between them.

"Lucy! Sup cutie?"

Couldn't resist. He wasn't anywhere near as bad as that lecherous lion she kept in her company, but he wasn't beyond the occasional flirtatious jab. Until it came to Juvia, then he was about as clueless as Natsu.

And Plue was here too, huh? Still hard to wrap his head around the fact that the thing was actually a dog. Just look at that nose, nothing canine about having a horn jutting out of your face. But he'd kneel down and briefly pet the creature atop its head, before straightening up and extending both arms at his sides.

'Well? Don't be a stranger."

"This really sucks."

How long had he been wandering around, trying to find some sort of familiarity in this place? It had only been a few hours since Gray Fullbuster had awoken in this strange land, and already he was absolutely sick of it. There was something about waking up in a place entirely different than where you'd put down your head that just didn't stick with him, suffice it to say.

He wasn't stupid enough to think that he'd been transported back to Edolas, that didn't make any sense at all. The Jellal of that world had already told them that the door was shut tight. Not to mention this place shared no semibalance to Fiore or its alternate self.

A word or two with some of the people he ran into filled Gray in on most of the major details, like the fact that this was apparently some kind of sanctuary following the end of the world, but he tried not to dwell too much on that. Even if it was the truth, it was a little hard to swallow. Who was ready to admit that their world had went and blown up?

Not to mention it would mean dealing with the fact that, well, he had no idea if the rest of his nakama had made it out alright. Lucy, Erza, even that flaming bastard and his cat...

Gah, no time to dwell on that. They were mages of Fairy Tail, they would be fine. Meanwhile, he needed to find out everything he could about this...Arcadios. Oh look, there went another person that seemed like they had their head on their shoulders. Should check 'em out.

"Hey, you there. Got a second? "

Because they were a team. Wasn’t that a good reason enough ? The three got along at their own unique manner, even if she forced both Fire and Ice users to be friendly with each other, she wouldn’t change it at all. A kind of relationship she got used at the end, even enjoying it at some point. A beautiful costume in other words.

And this was more to her like.

Finally a smile dared to appear in response to, and he must be grateful about it. The path they were put through was going to be quite harsh as many others, but they will manage to surpass every hardship as always, correct ? If they stay together, defeat wasn’t an option.

“ Stupid? I beg to differ. But we have to find the others as well. ” The possibilities were many, however losing hope was not in her plans. Since she expected to see all her dearest people. There was not such a thing as giving up for them.  ” I am not lazy as most of you, this took me by surprise. Did you enjoyed the trip ? ”

Fairy Tail's Strongest, wasn't that what they had been called back on Fiore? While he wasn't quite so sure about Natsu and those mediocre skills of his, both he and Erza were more than qualified to be S-Rank mages. Although he didn't carry the title officially, due to the incident that had displaced them for seven whole years...obviously he was still a little bitter over the subject.

The smile did his heart some good, though Gray would never admit to such. It had been more and more difficult to elicit such a reaction out of the Ex-Quip fighter as of late, between the events surrounding Jellal and all. He still wanted to kick that guy's ass for making someone so precious to him shed even a single tear, but whatever.

"From what I hear, they'll drop in sooner or later. I know Matchbox Breath is here, and apparently Lucy too. Only a matter of time before the rest come popping in."

It was sort of like the Edolas situation all over again, only without the manic king trying to suck them all free of their magical essence, and the weird race of cat people that Happy belonged to.

Even as he spoke, hands went undoing the buttons of his jacket before slowly sliding it from his frame, exposing a well-toned torso to the warm air.

"I guess. I think someone stole my shirt though..."

Got a point. She kinda overreacted but everything was safe for him until they can go and find the Dragon Slayer, they had plenty things to get settled.

” No, but I was worried. ” Erza admitted without problem, underneath the aggressive demeanor she had a big heart. Gray should knew it ! Of course she had a good reason to smile, but it was not suitable at all. And his expression wasn’t a very excited one, it had to be fair if he wanted a happy reunion he must put some effort.

Whether he is ready or not, she was still going go for that.

Why did they have to go and look for that flamer, again? The world would be a much better place if Natsu had taken a one way trip to hell, or at least rode on some form of public transportation. Nothing would have made him happier right then than to see that stupid face that the Fire Mage got whenever he was forced onto a moving vehicle. Priceless, truly.

Rigid features melted like the ice that he manipulated freely as she openly admitted to being worried about their well-being. Despite the hostility that flowed between the three of them, their friendship went back the farthest in the entire Guild other than Mirajane and her siblings. Erza, and even that brat, held a special place in Gray's heart.

And he knew they felt the same. Deep down. Waaaay deep.

"Don't be stupid. You know something like the end of the world isn't enough to put down a mage of Fairy Tail. I figured you had just decided to take a nap, or somethin'."

Gray must prepare his body for later since he and Natsu were going to get scolded nevertheless, although Erza’s expressions was not the most happy one, the armored girl was relieved to see them doing fine and without a scratch.

“ I believe so. He is not even with us now, keep that for later, will you? “

A small wonder, actually. How could he not be aware of that massive amount of killing intent that always seemed to radiate from the young woman. Even with all of the training that he'd done over the past few years, Gray still couldn't help but shake off that initial ass whooping that had come when they were just little kids. He might be able to take her now...

But the Ice Mage was entirely too afraid to put that to the test.

"Do you have to look like you want to kick my ass all the time? It wouldn't hurt you to smile once in a while..."

Then again, her muscles probably didn't even know what a "smile" was. And by the way, his body was not ready.
