Time to Explore! (Open)

Himiko walked down the path in front of her. She hadn't been in Arcadios very long; she had just finished speaking to a nice boy that had given her a little more information about the new world she had found herself in. After they had talked for a bit, she was off again, this time determined to try and find anyone she knew from her previous world. This was a new start after all, so any old enemies had the potential to become new friends.

The young mystic had been walking for almost an hour before she noticed what looked like another village. Her mood brightened at the sight of this new village. She had known that there were three villages, so maybe she'd find people she knew residing in this village. It would still take at least ten minutes to get to the village though, so she slowed her pace down a bit to give her some time to think.

From what Himiko remembered of the information she had, the village she was approaching should be the Village of Wisdom. Most likely any strategists from her old world would be living in this village. She wondered what she would say to them. She decided to not let it bother her too much though, and figured that she could just say whatever she thought when the moment came.

As she got closer to the village, she couldn't help the feeling of excitement washing over her. Making new friends was something she always liked to do, and it would be a thrill to be able to make new, friendlier bonds with people that she already knew if she ran into them. The girl starting skipping once she reached the village, looking around as she breezed through the village.

"Oh!" Himiko cried as she turned her head forward once again only to see another person in her path. She stopped mid-skip, causing her to lose her balance. Unable to regain it in time since she had stopped so short in order not to crash into the poor unsuspecting person, she landed on her face in front of them. "Oof!"

The brown haired girl picked herself up off the ground; luckily she hadn't scraped anything. She brushed the dirt off of her face before turning her attention to the person. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention when I should have been, haha!" she said, giving them a grin.

Need Job Pls [open]

The Tempest scanned the job bulletin once again. It was expected to have many job offerings and whatever posted up.  Gazing across every inch of the board, the boy frowned. Apparently this time around, the stubs were all torn from their original sheets, and no phone numbers were to be found. How did people expect to actually get workers like this?

Sighing, the boy turned his back toward the board. He had been meaning to get a job for a while-- or anything to do really. He was given a second--and even a third chance at life. Most would call him lucky, but the boy truly despised life, people, everything. Why couldn't he just... disappear. Was it that hard to ask of?

But here, he had a different purpose didn't he? This world was rid of Seventh Fonons, the sole substance that had created him. Without it... well he wasn't Sync--a replica anymore. It was only until now that he even considered the credibility of his existence. What was going to happen to him? Prodding on the question would only confuse the boy.

Channeling his attention back to Arcadios, the boy blinked in despair. It was like he'd suddenly became Luke or whatever. The thought was revolting. It's not like he needed anyone to help him actually figure out who he was. But it wasn't like he had the ability to do so either.

"What am I...?" he mumbled, vision growing hazier. "What am I even doing here..." A slight chuckle. "I'm not needed here either aren't I? After all, I'm just a piece of meat, with nowhere to go. Pathetic... Ha ha..." An eruption of laughter followed the boy's doubtful thoughts. "If only Van could see me now." Another laughing fit.

By now, the greenette would've paid no attention whatsoever to his surroundings. So when a creature approached the bulletin, the boy was continuing his little act, clutching his stomach.

It was with the certainty of a hero facing insurmountable odds that Sora knew he was dead.

Or, at least, hallucinating, because he could practically feel the delusion of some blissfully peaceful calm breaking through whatever shallow defenses he’d put up. Considering his alternatives (tragic accident, fighting against innumerable Heartless and Nobodies, eating that suspicious mushroom with purple stripes for lunch that one time), it was a pretty good final request. The sky never looked so blue, awash with the vibrancy of a summer’s day. Sora closed his eyes for what he assumed would be the last time, smile twisting the corners of his mouth up.

When he grew thoroughly tired of waiting for Death, the wraith of the Underworld and IRS agent of contemporary times to take him down the River Styx, he sat up and yawned, stretching his arms out until the joints popped. Jostled into wakefulness, his vision remained bleary for a full five seconds; his vision remained bleary for a full five seconds, drunken stupor rapidly wearing off with the realization that he was alone. Scanning the forest that swallowed him up on all sides, except for the gigantic hole through the canopy that he’d presumably fallen through, his friends, and their vessel, for that matter, were gone.

Standing up on two wobbling, uncoordinated feet, vertigo momentarily clouded his thoughts before it steadied into clarity. Brushing off the remnants of heart-shaped leaves sticking every which way in the folds of his pockets and hair, he stuck two fingers into his mouth and whistled shrilly, three sharp notes in the air. Their signal to each other, in case the other became lost, but even straining his ears, all he heard were the dissonant tunes of wild tropical birds. Absolving himself to his task, he cupped two hands to his mouth. “HEEEEEY! Donald! Goofy! Where are you guys?! I can’t find the gummi ship!” He waited expectantly for an answer.

Somewhere out in that wilderness, a fly buzzed and died.

The brunet dropped his hands in defeat. “Guess they can’t hear me. Well, better start searching.”

He’d traveled a considerable distance when he spotted a figure swiftly heading in the opposite direction. Wasting no time, Sora sprinted toward them, beaming from ear-to-ear. “Wait, wait! I need to ask you something!”

And then he tripped over a stray root, flying on top of them in a tumbling rush.

In that proximity, Sora laughed unabashedly, quickly jumping up again. “Sorry about that! I just needed you to stop. Name’s Sora. Do you think you could tell me where I am? Y’see, I’m looking for my friends, Donald and Goofy.” Maybe you’ve seen them around?”

It had been a while since Malik had arrived at Arcadios, but he still couldn't quite feel at ease.

It was difficult. Everything was slightly different from what he was used to, and even the similarities weren't too reassuring. Of course, the utter absence of eleth and cryas was one concern, but also a mystery. How was the land able to sustain all this life without eleth, after all? He had resigned himself to just think that Arcadios ran on different rules as dictated by this Sophia, but he wasn't willing to put his belief in a figure that he hadn't met.

However, this didn't mean that he wasn't able to enjoy himself. It was things like Hevia that managed to let him relax a little - the constant rush of water crashing onto the lake below the cliffs, the outline of trees and shrubbery that were a short ways away from the waterside, leaving a small clearing of grass in between. And it was in this little clearing that Malik had chosen to sit in this afternoon, as he looked up and simply enjoyed the good weather.

He had kept to himself for the last while, left in the sorrows of his past. Maybe that trip to the bar hadn't been a good idea.

After that night, all the captain had been able to think of was his collection of regrets, all resurfacing because of the alcohol. It had taken him a long time to get over the fact that there was nothing he could do, and that it was useless to think so deeply about things. But now that he didn't exactly have any goal to keep him going - how could he help Fendel now? - it felt like he had no way to redeem himself for his mistakes.

And... well, that was what had kept him going.

The feeling of hopelessness still wasn't completely resolved, but as the alcohol started to wear off on him (he had had quite a bit to drink that night, hadn't he), this emotion at least loosened its effect on him. And now, he was simply a middle-aged man, sitting by a waterfall, enjoying the strange tranquility of being away from everything he had ever known.

It had been tranquil until someone else arrived, at least...

★ | Not so much a game [Open/Intro]

At first it had just felt like a really weird dream, the kind where you feel like you're just aimlessly wondering about in a strange place waiting for something to happen. Until she stubbed her toe on the curb, that made it pretty real. Second thought she considered this could be another virtual world, she'd been in enough of them to know one when she saw it, in truth one was enough. It was pretty plausible and the only explanation she could come up with. Only thing was how had she ended up here? Hadn't she just been on her way into town?

At least here there were other people around (and a lack of monsters), but so sign of anyone she knew...that was discouraging. The place looked almost...Greek, a little run down too, what sort of strange virtual world was this? What were they called? Virtual Reality? MMO's? Maybe thats what this was, some new gadget created by Kaiba or something. Kinda rude to not ask before shoving her in here though, well either way she wanted out. Though...if Yugi and the others were here it could be fun right? Still there was something...wrong about it all, something just felt off.

Placing her hands on her hips, she puffed out a heavy sigh "well whoever put me in here I'm gonna have words with" she spoke to herself before setting off down the road, not entirely sure where she was headed. As she walked past a few others she noted they called this place 'Polis' whatever that meant. Picking up her pace, she was starting to run out of patience everybody just seemed to be going about their daily business...weird for a game. Deciding she'd had enough she confidently approached a figure standing by some stalls, tapping them lightly on the shoulder. "Excuse me could you tell me how to get out of here? I don't remember signing up for this or anything" she explained, though she had a feeling it wouldn't be as simple as that.

nostalgic dreams - ( open!

He had a crazy dream. Something out of the ordinary. Lavi had a dream about being young. It wasn't that usual dream where he was alone, by himself in a field. Where a shadow walked away from him, he couldn't reach them. He ended up alone, every time. 

Not this time though, this time his different dream. He was alone, and he was in a field. But, he was older, calmer. He wasn't waiting for anyone, and he wasn't longing for anyone either. He was just sitting there, in a paler field. He felt good, calm. He felt free. 

"Ah" Waking with a soft exhale, his eye opened and he was there. In the little 'borrowed' cottage he'd found for himself on top of that little noddle shop. Slowly he sat up; red mane fluffed out of  place. Touching his own neck, it was dry, not sweaty like it always was with those weird dreams. His conscious was trying to tell him something-

"Laviii! Help please!"  The elderly lady he'd been living with called up to him, and he slowly smirked; getting up to move down and giver her a hand with some boxes; grinning at her he chuckles , "Moooorrrninggg, ooobbaaa-san~"

The lady laughed and smacked his arm a bit as she moved on ahead, having a tall foreigner in he home wasn't so bad. Lavi carried a few boxes outside, and stretched out. 

"Eeeeeeeeeeee, gotta find a job~" Huffing he itched his own red hair, idly tugging on a pale black headband, pushing messy hair out of his face . "What a pain" grunting he looked around, pursing his lips. Where did you find a job around here?

Charmander had been trying to get Green's attention for some time now. It had tried different tactics, like setting his pants on fire, setting hishairon fire, setting his things on fire... but none worked--to the charmander at least.

Green had noticed the boy who had been following him from behind secretly, but he thought that ignoring the boy would probably bore the boy and simply leave him alone.

But, obviously, that didn't work.

Switch to Plan B.

His charmander was about to fire an ember straight at Green's face, but was immediately stopped by Green placing his hand on the lizard's mouth.

He turned around and faced the human, who had been following him.

"What do you want?" He asked with obvious annoyance present in his tone.

Once more into the breach?

Now, when Lando had unexpectedly fallen asleep one time in Arkadhios and woken up to find himself back home again, the last thing he expected was to find himself back on the island so 'easily'. There had been the biggest uproar when he walked casually through his own front door, his mother dropping the dish she was washing in pale-faced shock, Hershel letting out a stunned gasp and Sharon practically fainting.

What was the big deal? He understood he'd fallen down a pretty deep hole last they saw him but they were acting like they were seeing a ghost! Of course, he shook Sharon out of concern, but she slapped him once she came to. Apparently, with him falling down a hole like he had...everyone had assumed him to be dead here at home.

Oh. That explained a lot of things, actually: but everything was alright, because he obviously wasn't dead!! In time, everyone calmed down from it all and life rteurned to what could pass for 'normal' there: but there was a nagging regret at the back of the ginger's mind. He'd never gotten to say goodbye to everyone back at the island! If only he could just go back one more time.

And now, he'd woken up under the giant tree again. Well, as much as he hated worrying everyone at home (again): he could actually talk to his old friends again, now! Huzzah! His enthusiasm didn't serve him well at this point, though: he tripping and taking a tumbling fall down the "giant tree's" hill. He was alright, but...darn. Lost his glasses again. He could see a moving blurred mess nearby: a person?

"Hey, you! You there! Have you seen a pair of glasses around on the ground here? I seem to have lost em. I can't exactly see anything without them sooo if you could just tell me the general direction to go, I'll pick 'em up by myself."

Despite the fact he hadn't been here in a while, it was clear his stubborn nature had not changed one bit in the time he was gone. He could find his glasses pretty well by himself if he was just pointed in the right direction!
