There was no surprise at Yuri’s insult nor even the attitude that was directed towards him. The blond was always fired up about something it seemed, but it was a familiar banter that Viktor wouldn’t flinch at. If anything he just smiled at the words as he gave a very distinct shake of his head. In a way Viktor couldn’t really be bothered to even entertain the idea of trying to fix the wires, because even if he said yes he wasn’t very knowledgeable in that area. It was an apartment complex after all, and if his was out he was sure others were too.
“Looks like we’re going to be having a sleepover!” His words were cheerful as he gave his dog a pet. “I can light some candles and we can see if I have any games. It’ll be fun!”
He wasn’t sure how Yuri would take to the idea, and he already guessed before he even said it that he probably won’t take it well but it was better than doing nothing. Besides, he had to find some way to keep the teen occupied until the power came back on and the streets were clear. Not that he wouldn’t have minded just sitting and idly chatting if possible, but he figured the time would pass faster if he could get them doing something. Besides, it’s a good time to have some fun together!
Rising up from the couch he goes into his kitchen with Makkachin trailing right behind him as he bends down to dig through one of the cabinets beside the sink. He didn’t have many candles besides a couple of mint smelling ones, pine, and a pumpkin spice one that Mila had gifted him with. The last thing he wanted was to light all of them since they smelled different, so instead he settled for grabbing one of the mint scented candles to rest it up onto the counter.
“Yuri, go check the hall closet for some boardgames!”
Yuri was quite the sight to see at the moment, the blanket resting atop his head and being held around his body so that only his face and hands were showing. The young skater had always been prone to being cold, a little ridiculous when he is a figure skater. If that was ever brought up, Yuri would argue that the chill of the ice was freeing, it was home. Being cold out of the rink was an entirely different thing, his joints would ache more and goosebumps would spread. Sometimes, it even got bad enough that his lips would get a faint blue tint and it was a given that he always had cold hands.
Well. Not right now he didn’t, the mug warming the pale digits.
At the exclamation that they were having a sleepover, Yuri frowned and rolled his eyes. How Viktor was always excited about things, he had no idea. Wasn’t it exhausting?
It was several more minutes before Yuri finally got up off of the couch, grumbling a little about why couldn’t Viktor just go fiddle with the wires? The blanket dragged behind him sort of as a cape, the hot chocolate having been left on the side table next to the couch. Opening the closet door, he crouched down and narrowed his eyes as he attempted to see what was on the bottom shelf. It looked like there were some games, 2 or 3 boxes at the most, but a layer of dust coated them all. Reaching for a deck of cards, for Viktor would complain if he didn’t bring back anything, Yuri ended up knocking up some of the dust which then sent him into a sneezing fit. You see, Yuri was one of the people where when he sneezed, he sneezed. They were small and kitten like but rapid, often being 5-6 sneezes in a row.
“Damn it Viktor! Clea-“ Yuri paused to sneeze once more before continuing “..Clean your apartment! It’s dusty as fuck.”
