Genuine question:

Why does James Gunn obsess SO much over including heterosexual romances in his stuff, yet he keeps being terrified of having ANY gay male inclusion whatsoever?

Guardians of the Galaxy 1-3, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Creature Commandos, Superman 2025... the closest we get is Peacemaker being bisexual, and that is ONLY because John Cena INSISTED.

James Gunn seems to be genuinely uncomfortable with gay male stuff... not to mention, any type of male sexualization that isn't just abs and pecks and bulges. The only times I've seen him show off any male butt are twice in episode 2 of Creature Commandos... both times being when a guy pounds a girl (one of which being James Gunn's obvious self-insert Rick Flag Sr).

Yet, with female characters, he shows off their asses all the time left and right, naked and in tights and thongs. As if he worries about that being "gay" too.

More importantly, why is no one talking about this? That he seems to not allow ANY gay male stuff in his movies and shows? He didn't even include Alan Scott on that mural in his Superman movie, which felt... really really weird.
