Daan did a couple of interviews in the Netherlands. This season has clearly been hard for her. I'm glad she has Ellie. She is one of the only people in her life that truly gets it. She loves getting to call Ellie her wife lol it's so cute the way she talks about her. Plus the dedication to her "wherever she goes I will follow her" as she wants to be a coach one day but ellie will still be playing so she will base her career around her.

Ellie is such a sweetheart. One of the youngest players to reach 100 caps for her country and first thing she does when she finally has a break is team up with a company to promote young girls in sport and try and keep them in and also team up with eating disorder charities to help tackle the root of the problem. Such an important type of person to have in the game and someone who clearly wants to help make a difference. How can anyone hate her?

Yeah Ellie is such a fantastic player and such a humble and nice person. Really just keeps her head down and works hard. I remember her ACL injury and it broke my heart but I am glad she made it back. She has said it actually was the best thing that could have happened to her which sounds admirable but for me it's just sad how she was almost completely burnt out at only 22 because she had been working constantly since she was 15. She has said that she would only get like a week off a year. Brutal schedule for someone so young and moving away from family aswell and then barely seeing them

she made a lot of sacrifices to be the player she is today and we know none of it comes easy especially for her. I still don’t think she got enough flowers for her Asian cup final performance in the 2nd half

Fun fact Ellie is the second youngest player EVER to get 100 caps for Australia only behind Heather Garriock who used to coach and mentor Ellie when she was young (about 16-17) and they have both spoken very highly of eachother

Also don’t forget Ellie was out for a while like 8 month after she tore her acl. It’s an incredible achievement done by an incredible player
