Opened shop for my Manga Ichiba comics!

I’ll be closing shop at the end of the month.

I’ll be at Fanime’s Manga Ichiba on Friday, May 22, 10 am-4 pm!

The event is at the DoubleTree hotel, which has shuttles to and from the convention hall. I believe this is the first Comiket-style event that’s been held in the US, and we’re all hoping it’s successful enough to bring it back next year.

Thinking of (finally) compiling all my IchiRuki doujin into one book, seeing that I got a table at Fanime’s Manga Ichiba (it’s basically Comiket). It’s a 20 min shuttle ride away from the main con, if you plan to look for me.

So far I like this cover concept the best.

10 years apart (2012-2022)

With Bleach’s anime returning in October, I felt compelled to go back and finish/fix some pages. This one needed a redraw and it was also good to see how far I’ve come. I ink digitally, but the 100+ pages of traditional inking back in 2012 helped me get over that hump of anxiety that comes with worrying about ruining a sketch.

Basically if you want to improve your inks, ink so much that you don’t give a shit anymore. Pro tip 👍

Hi! I remember you from the old LJ days, and how your art always made me smile. It still does! Your style is so charming! It was fun to see your work every time you posted, and I don't mean even complete coloured arts, but just doodles, or even that Hercules parody video WIP thing. I like the way you draw expressions a lot! So thanks for drawing and sharing with us, I really appreciate it!
