This is the official blog for the Ichor Isles experimental comic archive. As it is experimental, this blog will shift and change as needed when I run into any issues.

Join our cast as they scour their world for clues, hunting down the answers to a sinister plot webbed beneath the underbelly of their world. But as they approach the end of the story, will the revelations they have cause the mission to lapse into oblivion? Or cause the genesis of a new age?

Disclaimers!!

This story will include elements of:

GORE: blood and mild viscera in scenes. I will make sure to add a TW for EVERY appearance of such content.

DEATH: no spoilers, but there is on-and-off screen death included in this story

PROFANITY: nothing strong enough to make a sailor blush but it’s not just cartoony car horns and boings.

RELIGION: this story is very religious at its core elements; while both believers and non-religious people can engage with an enjoy the story, there are some elements that are easier to pick up on if you have a religious background

Note: I [creator] value the complexities of religion within the modern age, from the doctrines taught to the masses and the root questions of certain teachings. The primary religion I am pulling from is Christianity in its entirety (no specific denomination). There will be no attacking of religion or religious peoples, and all characters used are created by my own interpretation of cross-religious figures.

The plot for this story is adaptive; there is a base storyline with set plot points that will be followed in longer posts, while asks between main lore moments will be answered in shorter format (1-3 panels)

there is an overall plot that will be followed, but the right questions get extra details and goodies!

asks don’t have to be about the plot btw they can be about anything in the AU (I love talking)

This story and all following collections are loosely inspired by the efforts of @nortsauce and @flygutzz and their creation @myth-of-the-machine

Please remember: Ichor Isles is NOT an AU of Myth. They are separate universes/works and have no connection between them (with the exception of some cameo appearances)

Ough this one took a while; i think I’ll switch up my style for this so i can get panels out faster, probably more similar to the MOTM style without heavy greyscale coloring. I’ll have super detailed scenes with more shading and such when a big event happens!

If you dont mind me asking but what is August's sexuality? Is he straight, bi, pan, aroace, just not interested in that kind of stuff? Is he shipped with Sixer?

He’s ace!! It will be explained later on why but other than a few jokes and funny moments (based on some of my experiences) it won’t hold too much plot relevance

as for him and Sixer,

They are not and will not be a canon ship. I made a joke about them being a ship in my Quest-style trend drawing, because I am well aware of how Sixer’s attitude and behavior will be perceived once he makes his apperance. He’s very up close and personal with everyone, and his Venom-esque teeth/tongue are a big part of how he emotes, but this is tumblr and I know what you freaks are like (I love youuuuu)

also! I don’t mind if you ship characters!!!

Ship your ocs with them, make new characters, make them yaoi yuri I don’t care!! It’s super cool to see what y’all can come up with, all I ask is that you check the ages (can’t find them? ask me!!)

*yes you can ship teenage characters with other teenage characters, but it better be cute and fluffy, nothing more*

Publicity is good in a city, not really a small town.

What do you think of your colleagues?

Jason is the chief officer and responds to most calls.

Cam is a crime scene analyst, primarily for car accidents/theft cases.

Lila does dispatch and secretary work at the police station.

Bing is a public safety officer but often handles other secretary duties with Lila.

Clara and August are the investigators, but with Clara out on maternity leave the job falls solely on August.

Tell me about your job, in general. And what's the biggest challenge...aside from your illness?

He works as a police investigator on criminal and civil cases. Not quite a detective and not quite an officer, as he can’t issue warrants for anything but can conduct background checks if needed.
