The time of thursday’s race was 43:33 minutes. Not too fast, but it was hot and humid as hell, plus a very stressy day at work, so I’m not too disappointed. I will go racing again for sure though, it was real fun!

The time of thursday’s race was 43:33 minutes. Not too fast, but it was hot and humid as hell, plus a very stressy day at work, so I’m not too disappointed. I will go racing again for sure though, it was real fun!
getting fit and in shape
i’m currently doing pilates once a week (since beginning of 2011), running (since 2 years, with some break times, now on a regular basis again) and working out at the gym (new gym-beginning since may) including training on the so-called vibro plate (second training about to happen on tuesday)
my aim would be to have a nice slim belly and a butt in a good shape. to have no ‘humps’ when wearing something in jersey which are somewhere unrequested.
so it is nothing i have to start with but i need to keep up with and maybe strengthen a bit in terms of intensity and regularity.
i signed me in for a 6,4 km rum in july.
in terms of food i think i’m doing quite ok, only thing i need to reduce is sins like chocolate, cheese and cakes. (my problem is that i like baking so much, but i nearly cut down in baking in the last times, but this is sad…)
Running
today i woke up at 8am, so i thought about running before it gets hot. took me quite long to convince myself but still i went for nearly 5k. i had some stingy pain in the stomach so i had to walk a bit, what a pitty. anyway i felt great afterwards!
I did it, my first race EVER. 6,4 km, Time not official yet.

i'm really facinated by photography. i would love to do it myself in a more professional way.
in 2009, on holiday in california i tried a lot with f's camera and found myself completely lost and unknowing. it got obvious, i need professional guidance to learn what is possible to adjust and set to achieve which results.
step 1: buying a digital camera (done end of 2010 already)
step 2: try out a lot, food pics, people and scenery, mostly in automatic mode, boooring results, you can tell!
step 3: buying a voucher for a photo workshop /course (check)
next steps to accomplish: schedule the course, take part in the course, learn, take pictures!
kung fu/muai thai
i would so love to do something like kung fu or muah thai. i always wanted to do boxing, but this even seems to be more fun and more challenging. (what got me into the idea of it would be better left unsaid: movies, oh my!)
therefor i would have to go to a trial lesson first of all. i already searched for contacts and locations, but now i have to overcome myself to do it finally.
i consider it merely arkward to take part in such trial lessons (experienced it in gym's several times now...) great would be to have the opportunity to watch a lesson first without being seen by the participants (i sound a bit like a voyeur now, but this is not it!). i would like to understand how the class functions, who does what and so on. but as this is offered nowhere, i have to find my guts to make a date.
let's see when the tag of topic kung fu can be changed from 'an idea' to 'first step'...
