HI! i don't know if you accept other types of notes but i need to ask you something... i make icons myself but since i feel like mine don't look varied enough I'M REALLY CURIOUS about where you find elements to use on yours!! and i mean backgrounds and effects so i'd be really happy if you help me on it THANK YOU!! and i think it would be helpful to others too!

HII I CAN ANSWER THIS YES

so if youre looking for the backgrounds i use i reccomend pinterest. there you wanna look up "(whatever shape or effect you want) overlay"

here's some examples:

then you wanna go onto ibis paint or whatever you use to make your icons and add your overlay photo and select the 'add' effect

this removes the black background.

and then you just erase any bits that overlap with the screenshot ur turning into an icon and ur done!!

i also reccomend boarders which you can also find on pinterest just by looking up 'boarder overlay'
