crazy how you can get used to working around problems that have very easy fixes. for like 6 months we used a hand towel to jam a kitchen cabinet closed because the hinges were broken and it turns out fixing it took me like $5 and 20 minutes. bedroom door has been squeaky for years and all it needed was a lil wd40. im sure this can apply to mental health too but i wouldnt know about all that.

I just saw someone editing their comment with "nevermind, finished reading", as they had asked a question that was answered in like a 5 sentence text and I am again finding myself annoyed at how people will just. Ask questions and leave comments like "you didn't mention x" before even finishing something.

#it almost makes me feel less annoyed about when you contact #a company or whatever and their contact info page is filled with #'before contacting us see if your question is answered in our FAQ!'#like I haven't already looked at the FAQ and searched on their website and all of that #because apparently a lot of people will not take even like 30 seconds #when they have a question or concern #to see if it has been addressed

I've been reading Montaigne's essays and they're generally interesting and thought provoking, but in the last two essays I've read he's basically been like "but for weak minded people, like women,...". And I'm like. Right. He's a 16th century French man. But it's not like there hasn't been other instances. In an earlier essay he was like "like this thing that has ruined society"... and the footnote noted he was talking about protestantism.
