Tribute to My Yoga Guruji

With a heart full of love and gratitude, I offer this humble tribute to my beloved yoga guru — one of the most exceptional human beings I have ever known. A soul so radiant, so full of wisdom and compassion, who dedicated his life to the practice and global propagation of yoga. His teachings were not just about postures or breathwork, but about living a life rooted in truth, humility, and spiritual purpose.

He was a lighthouse in times of darkness, a guide whose presence brought peace and clarity. His words carried depth beyond their simplicity, and his lessons continue to echo in my daily life — in every breath, in every mindful step, in every moment of stillness.

What I will carry with me forever is that charming, smiling face — always warm, always reassuring — and the positive aura that surrounded him. He had the rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and valued, and he transformed lives not just through his knowledge, but through the sheer power of his presence.

Though he may no longer be with us in the physical form, his spirit lives on — in the hearts of all who learned from him, in the growth of yoga across the globe, and in the silent strength he instilled in each of us.

May his soul continue to guide us, may we always honour his legacy, and may we never forget the light he brought into our lives.

Dear Papa Shri Vinod Kumar Kapoor,

Happy Father’s Day to you, wherever you are in the vastness of eternity. I close my eyes today and try to feel your presence — in the breeze, in the silence between heartbeats, in the memories that never fade. I know you’re out there in some cosmic corner, watching, guiding, smiling your quiet smile, and keeping me strong in ways I can’t always see.

But today, I must admit, the world feels heavy. The silence around me is deafening. There’s a huge vacuum in my life — one that your voice, your laughter, your warm presence used to fill so effortlessly. Everyone celebrates today with their fathers, and while I try to hold on to gratitude for the time we had, I can’t help but feel this aching loneliness.
