Do you think instead of dogs, Eridians would domesticate their equivalent of pigeons?

Pigeons put their eggs on flat rocky surfaces (supposed to be in cliff sides but now they like in cities) and Eridians are full of those.

Say when a primitive Eridian was gathering food a bird landed on their head. Okay, weird, why not though, right? Thing isn’t impeding anything. Then it laid an egg. Weird, but like, might as well protect this egg now. So it hatches and they have some extra food so they feed it and soon a bunch of birds are doing this and there’s a whole culture around it and everything and as Eridians advance birds keep laying eggs on their head and they start finding it cute and silly and start putting little harnesses on their favorite birds and the birds stay with them their whole lives

And in Eridian society people have therapy birds. And one of Graces students comes in with the Eridian equivalent of an owl on its carapace and Grace just stares for a minute like “what the fuck they got birds here and it’s just chilling” it has a harness it’s name is 🎶 (squimbles) it can smell Eridian seizures
