Hi Autumn! I was wondering if you could rec me blogs that have never doubted babygate? I just had one of my favorite blogs recently say they believe Louis is a dad now and it made me really sad that I had to unfollow so I'm looking for more blogs who haven't/will never doubt until this thing ends :(

It's probably going to be similar to how Rihanna produced a fashion competition show called "Styled to Rock" a while ago but she only appeared in the last episode, where she wore the winner's outfit. If it is a reality competition show, I imagine the winners get signed to Louis' imprint or something.

That could very well be. Signed to an imprint that doesn’t seem to be doing anything, lol. These poor girls. Like, I would root for their success, but frankly it would be best for them to get as far from Syco and Simon as they possibly can.

Exactly. Perhaps his deal was that he’d show up at these few events, be nice to the girls, lend a bit of his fame, and in return he’d get an executive producer credit. We’ll see what happens, but I don’t think him being a “producer” necessarily means that he’ll have a role going forward. Maybe he will, but it’s not a given. (Based on us utterly jumping to conclusions about what Wootton’s article will say, lol.)

"i think that ultimately all of us have to remember that it’s not our lives and we’re just spectators" yep exactly and this is something most larries with an amount of influence (& consequently most of the fandom) have struggled with I think and that's why everytime something new happens the vitriol against Louis himself rather than the situation gets more and more obvious and intense, a lot of people are actually taking offence as if this is something Louis is doing against them (pt 1)

this is very well said. louis’ not choosing to do this just to fuck with us. simon is *still* talking about the band publicly and doing everything he can to associate himself with the boys. clearly he’s still very much in the picture.

looking at the big picture makes it very clear there are bigger issues here than just babygate: all of the simon related stunts are still going. clearly simon’s influence is still there. it’s great that we got movement on the liam front last week, for example, but as long as chiam is still a thing i think it’s obvious that they’re not free. and let’s not forget the niall/modest golf shadiness.

the current state of babygate is essentially the physical manifestation of the behind the scenes power struggle and simon’s petty vendetta against the boys. as long as simon’s still making his presence felt like this i’m prepared for the bullshit to continue.
