((I moved my Harry Dresden blog to a new free-standing blog. It was time; the old blog was starting to stagnate for me. Feel free to add me over on @thatgoddamnwizard. Old continuities will remain in their respective verses, but for now I’m going to just do new threads. I’m limiting the number of new threads I’m taking on so I don’t get overwhelmed again; right now the number is ten, but that could fluctuate.

Duplicates are welcome to add as well if you just want to follow the threads or something. I’m also up for multiverse mashup storylines (since that’s something that Butcher has up his sleeve anyway) as well, if anyone wants.))

Mae and Harry: Cabin in the Woods

I jerked awake half-buried in snow and flailed, sending puffs of cold white powder everywhere. Shivering, my head pounding, I looked around as I pulled my leather duster more tightly around myself. “Who turned on the air conditioning?” I muttered, taking in my surroundings, which consisted entirely of snow, trees, and a grey, featureless sky visible through the tangled, bare branches overhead. 

The last thing I remembered was a too-tall, too-lanky figure with a grin too large for its cadaverous face cackling as it waved a hand in the air, trailing magic. Mae and I--

Mae.

Frantically, I scrambled to my feet and cast around until I found her, similarly ensconced in her own cozy snow bed. I called her name, shaking her. “Up and at ‘em. C’mon, we’ve got a bit of a situation here.”

Nicodemus: Your name is Dresden? Harry *tied to a rock*: No, sorry.  He’s out taking a leak, I’m just keeping the rock warm. Harry: Do you have a less comfortable bed, actually?  I almost fell asleep earlier.

((Okay, here’s what I’m going to do.

All current ongoing threads on Tumblr are going away. If we’re writing together on Discord, those threads we’ve already transferred stay for private, no-stress RP. I’m going to come up with a total number of threads that I think I can manage and draw the line there. 

Let’s start with ten threads total for now and go from there. I may expand the number later.

I’ve got a bunch of asks in my drafts folder too, but I’m going to delete those as well. This blog is going full clean slate, with the exception that all continuities will remain in place. So whatever has happened in our threads previously still happened. We can discuss particular outcomes to those old incomplete threads if they come up in new stuff.

I will post a starter call for new threads in a bit.))

((I might need to do some more housekeeping on this blog. I have Harry muse, I’m just petrified of my drafts folder. Scary, scary drafts folder. 

Maybe I’ll just delete everything but, like, three or four threads that I’m super attached to and start over. Mmmmm. That might work. Like, still in the same continuities, but new arcs.))

(OOC) A bit of money trouble...

Hello everyone!  So, since I finished grad school, it took me a bit to find a new job and to start getting paid for that job.  Unfortunately, the placement of which week I get paid is such that I won’t have enough money in my bank account to cover rent come the first of the month.  My credit card is also nearly maxed out.  Right now, I’m just hoping a new credit card I applied for comes in the mail before the end of the month or I’m going to have to ask my parents for help.

I don’t want to beg for money.  I hate even admitting it’s so tight.  Just… if you could go look at what I have in my Etsy shop, and maybe buy something if you like it?  I know there aren’t a lot of items there yet, but I’ll be adding more as I make them.

TLDR: I’m having money troubles and would love you forever if you bought something shiny from me.

Edit: I would also love you forever if you went and bought my book, but I don’t get paid from those sales for three months, so it unfortunately won’t help me in the short term.  (I would still love to have as many people as possible reading my book, though ^_^ )
