RIP Taco Bell
It is with sad news and a heavy heart that today I lay Taco Bell to rest. You were once my favorite fast food of all the fast foods and you shall be missed.Â
What can I say about Taco Bell that hasnât been said before? All your items tasted the same so I knew it was something I could rely on. It was consistent from the value menu to the vegetarian menu and consistency is the key to greatness.
Said somebody who was probably referring to basketball.Â
I donât really watch basketball, I am more of a hockey and football guy. But this isnât about me.
It had been a long, long time since I had been to Taco Bell. After the meximelt was removed I found my wanting of Taco Bell waning. I was shown a hack with the beefy mini quesadilla and I thought this could be the ticket to get me back into your beefy, cheesy embrace. Alas, it would not last.
Today I went to Taco Bell to do the beefy mini quesadilla hack only to find that the beefy mini quesadilla was gone. Also gone was another favorite, the double decker taco. That is when I knew it was finally over.Â
The love was gone.
Some of my earliest memories of Taco Bell were sitting in your booth after t-ball practice or after a swim meet and scarfing down soft taco after soft taco with a side of pintos and cheese. I will hold onto those memories fondly. Cherish them. But it is time to say goodbye.
To you Taco Bell I say ado. Farewell. Good night, old friend. May you find the taco that will ring your bell once more.
