barry allen who packs you a lunch every day. he wakes up around 30 minuets before you almost every morning which gives him more than enough time to get ready himself and to make something delicious for you. it’s always a surprise, unless you requested something or he knows you are craving something makeable. one day it’s your favorite kind of sub with some orange slices, the next it’s leftovers from dinner that you both devoured. it’s always very good and always different, you never get the same things in a row.

he also leaves notes in your lunch box. they’re something about how good the dinner was you cooked last night, how pretty you look or just how happy and grateful he is for you. there is never a day, even a second where you feel unloved by barry.

dick grayson who cannot stand the silence. if he sits and lets his thoughts brew in his head for too long he spirals, he has to be distracted from his own mind. he’ll turn on nature and animal docs while stitching his newest gash up, he’ll play rain sounds at night on his phone to fill the dark void of the room, he’ll have music he doesn’t know the lyrics too while cooking.

he doesn’t like to be alone either.. especially in his own home. he gets scared. that is why he is so clingy to you because you are a constant companion who can be near him most of the time. he’d offer for you to quit any job you might have just so he could see you more, knowing he was financially secure of providing for the both of you and haley.

he loves listening to the beat of your heart or your lungs filling you with life, it reminds him you are ok and here. he loves how you pant after a workout because it’s loud- you are breathing and he can hear it echo.

being near you reassures him that he is ok- you are ok and the noise is wonderful.

tw; bad relationships with eating mentioned, mentions of starving and going hungry

jason todd who has always had a weird experience with food. growing up, he had barley any nutritional value in anything he ate, and he wasn’t always able to get 3 meals a day. he already felt so spoiled and undeserving of the food bruce and alfred had given him years ago but your wonderful, warm and delicious meals make him feel both so spoiled and loved for but also overly lucky, thinking he could never deserve these meals and kind gestures you give him.

when he came back more scarred and ghostly he didn’t have an appetite for days. he needed the food desperately but just couldn’t bring himself to eat without feeling this disgusting pit inside himself. years later, that feeling has dimmed inside of him, after readjusting as much as he can and after finding you and your meals that you fill with love.

he truly never knew he could crave food so badly, even when not hungry, he didn’t realize food could taste so good and so different. he starts observing how you cook and prepare different foods while slowly learning himself. one night he prepares dinner himself. (after many trial runs) just to surprise you and hope you feel the same way he does whenever you cook for him.
