Months had passed since New Years and Regulus still spent more times scanning the hallways for the back of Siriusâs head than he cared to admit. There was no way (short of showing up at the Potterâs) to get any sort of contact and even if Sirius had left they were still family, dammit. He hated having to find out about his brother through second-hand info passed along from Rosie through Remus.Â
When he saw Sirius coming out of McGonagallâs classroom a few minutes after the lunch bell and blessedly alone, Reg figured it was his only chance. âSirius? I- can we-?â
Sirius had blessedly been able to avoid his family. He caught a glimpse of Regulus at the dance, and a few other times at school. However, they tended to be busy, and it probably wouldnât be all that safe to talk to each other. Besides, Regulus was busy.Â
Sirius had stayed behind for a few moments to talk about  making up his work so he was leaving after James and Peter. It came as a surprise to see Regulus standing there, like he was waiting for him, âOh, uh, hey,â He glanced over his shoulder.Â
