Dyslexia-friendly Bible!
Developed in partnership with Klaus Krogh of 2K and Cambridge University’s research department, this Bible features a specialized type
Hey all! Wanted to spread the word because this is pretty cool.
I have no idea if Crossway (publisher of the ESV Bible) is the first to do this, but they have just released a dyslexia-friendly Bible!
Everyone should have access to Godās Word, and part of making that possible includes helping those who struggle to read more mainstream typefaces.
Spread for awareness!
āTo be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.ā
-C.S. Lewis
Men will never worship God with a sincere heart, or be roused to fear and obey Him with sufficient zeal, until they properly understand how much they are indebted to His mercy.
John Calvin
Everybody wants to enjoy heaven after they die, but they don't want to be heavenly-minded while they live.
Dwight L. Moody
Romans 3:10 (NKJV) - As it is written:
āThere is none righteous, no, not one;
"Many Christians have what we might call a 'cultural holiness.' They adapt to the character and behavior pattern of Christians around them...But God has not called us to be like those around us. He has called us to be like Himself. Holiness is nothing less than conformity to the character of God."
~ Jerry Bridges
Legal issues with the Tolkien Estate aside, you couldnāt remake LOTR anyway. Why? Because of the theme music. Yeah. Like what are you going to do?Ā āYes, we need a score that lives up to Howard Shoreās Lord of The Rings, or is at least cool enough to, yāknow, do itās own thing.ā Like, you canāt. You just straight up canāt. Go ahead and remake Star Wars with different music why donāt you. Youāre hearing the Fellowship theme in your head right now, arenāt you? You know you are. Itās that powerful. What can you do? Nothing. Thatās it. Thatās Lord of The Rings. Goodbye.
What are yall studying in The Bible?
I'm reading through Isaiah on my own and Romans with the bf
Genesis for Sunday morning preaching, Hebrews for Wednesday night preaching, and Romans (again) for personal study!
How often we stress about our unanswered prayers while we are living in one of our answered prayers.
The Christian says, 'Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger: well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim: well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire: well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. If none of my earthly pleasures satisfy it, that does not prove that the universe is a fraud. Probably earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing. If that is so, I must take care, on the one hand, never to despise, or to be unthankful for, these earthly blessings, and on the other, never to mistake them for the something else of which they are only a kind of copy, or echo, or mirage. I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death; I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that country and to help others to do the same.
C.S. Lewis
āIf I can hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet the distance makes no difference; He is praying for me.ā
