I nicely formatted my compendium classes in a .pdf!
This doc includes Dungeon World Compendium Classes for:
The Aarakocra
The Changeling
The Dragonborn
The Aasimar
The Tiefling
The Genasi
The Hobgoblin
The Bugbear
The Shifter
and my custom class The Spirit
For anyone who uses this DW Prep doc or Jason Cordova’s advice, i made a worksheet bc I wanted one! I like to print it out, but it works on draw.io too.
Sheet1 human, dwarf, hin( halfling), elf, orc, gnome, goblin, birdfolk( kenku), kobold, lizardfolk, catfolk( tabaxi), tortle, poppets( warforged), minotaur, gnoll, frogfolk( grung), naga( yuan-ti), stonefolk( goliath), planeswalkers( gith), treefolk( firbolg) barbarian,† You and your people ar...
I did it! I wrote a move for each 5e player species for the Dungeon World classes and a few Fünhaver Industries classes that line up with 5e core. Not all the moves are gems, but they’re starting points, which was the goal! Hopefully this helps other people who want to make the leap from 5e to DW!
There are some species missing from the list, most of which are on my list of compendium classes instead: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t-5yvNGe1gi3v0uUD0idDDMbJvOWkRDsSKEYi3AjBwU/edit?usp=sharing
Creatures from beyond the stars… that’s you. Whether you were born in the material world or in the Distant Void itself, you have been formed by it. Sharp, glittering resin coats your emaciated form; it’s your armor, your weapons, and your camouflage.
This is a class I wrote converting my homebrew D&D 5e player species! The DW class was inspired by 4e starspawn and the whispers bard, a real meddler. It’s unplaytested rn, so if you use it, let me know how it goes!
Compendium Classes: Contents: The Aarakocra The Dragonborn The Aasimar The Tiefling The Hobgoblin The Bugbear The Changeling The Shifter The Spirit [WIP] _________ The Aarakocra (requirement: kenku) Some birdfolk- the lofty and lonely- are born with wings. Others strive and lust for them, only...
Lately my creative energies have been writing stuff for Dungeon World. Here’s a list of compendium classes I wrote (and one written by an excellent G+ user Robert Doe).
I wanted to convert the more complex D&D 5e species for Dungeon World, so for everyone who wants to play:
The Aarakocra
The Dragonborn
The Aasimar
The Tiefling
The Genasi
The Hobgoblin
The Bugbear
The Changeling
The Shifter
or my custom compendium The Spirit
this document is for you!

a challenge
Here’s the whole crew all together!
the last of the class illus: initiate dwarf, namer yuan-ti, barbarian grung, and night elf shaman.
The shaman, initiate, namer, and warlock are from playbooks by Funhaver.
Forests gnome star mage, volcano dwarf immolator, and land lizardfolk warlock for my series of class illus!
a kenku wizard, the last redraw from the Dungeon World core book! Kenku in Hale (our setting) are based on any bird, but mostly birds of paradise. This one is based on a superb bird of paradise which is the best name for this ufo bird.
I’ve been redrawing the Dungeon World core book illustrations to suit our setting, which has a lot more player-species options and no species-class restrictions. Especially since we’re doing some new visual takes on traditional “fantasy races” I wanted visual examples to point to.
top to bottom, left to right: goblin ranger, tortle paladin, kobold fighter, hin (halfling) cleric, orc druid, tabaxi bard, and poppet (warforged) thief.
I’ve still got the wizard to redraw from the core book and then I’m gonna come up with original designs for barbarian and immolator as well as Fünhaver’s warlock, initiate, namer, and shaman, and the star mage from Jacob Randolph.
sketching for a full party ensemble: Ricky (true form), Kiri, and v1.5 Venkata.
