@iggyinuit
The Mojo Pink Floyd Special from 2025 contained Mark Blake's (slightly updated) Iggy The Eskimo article from 2011.
Action Figures
A sequel to our Syd's Ghost Band article. Here is a spinoff, written by Simon Matthews about Peter Jenner & Andrew King’s Blackhill emporium. Still showing that the Holy Church of Iggy the Inuit is where the action is. https://atagong.com/iggy/archives/2026/05/action-figures.html

Two Syd Barrett letters are up for auction. They belong to the collection of Jenny Spires and were part of a Pink Floyd exhibition, a couple of years ago. The letters are not unknown as they were (partly) published in the 2011 Barrett book, compiled and annotated by Russell Beecher and Will Shutes.

Middle Earth Beauty
Not an Eskimo, nor christened Iggy. She used to spend a week with Syd Barrett, a week at Chipstead Street, a week with somebody secret and then start the cycle again. New Iggy picture found: https://atagong.com/iggy/archives/2026/04/middle-earth-beauty.html
Syd’s Ghost Band
Did Syd Barrett, Binky McKenzie, and Jake Milton do the Committee soundtrack on 30 January 1968? Or was it on Rhamadan? Quite the Easter Egg!
An investigation by Simon Matthews and the Holy Church of Iggy the Inuit.

Emily Misunderstood: the Sequel
Not a lot is known about ‘Ben Cash’. He is something of a mystery man. Some claim he was a German singer because that’s where his records could be found.
On some muddy places of the Internet it is rumoured that ‘Ben Cash’ (and his goofy band, ‘The Cash-Tons’) recorded 'See Emily Play' in September 1967. But none of these substantiate this with proof. The ‘original’ master could still be someone else.

Emily Misunderstood: the Sequel
A rather weird 1967 EP with the reference EP-79-34 has 4 tracks, including the popular country hit ‘There Goes My Everything’. The EP exists in two formats, one 7-inch and the other the less common 10-inch. Credited to ‘The New Sound’, it has 'See Emily Play' as the first track on its B-side.

Emily Misunderstood: the Sequel
Mira Como Juega Emily (See Emily Play) on a rare Mexican EP from 1967 (GX 07-463).
Two different sleeves exist, listing 4 tracks in Spanish. Variation one has Emily on the third spot, the second variation has Emily in second place.
The EP doesn’t mention an artist or band; however, it is performed by the ‘Bill Wellings Orch. and Singers’. The complete story at: Emily Misunderstood: the Sequel
A new year, a new Iggy portrait
In the sixties, Ray Stevenson started his career in the studio of Roman Kochalski, an unknown Russian-Australian photographer. Visiting the clubs, he made pictures of David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan and... Iggy the Eskimo.
