Review of Mark Blake's Shine On book.
I see The Wall, The Final Cut and Pros And Cons as a kind of Waters trilogy. Equally so, Pigs Might Fly, Us and Them and Shine On form three parts of a Floydian collection.
Shine On is not a replacement of Blake’s Pigs Might Fly, but a well-deserved sequel. The band have been retrograded to a bunch of rowdy ankle-biters fighting for a few million dollars more. Luckily there are some people like Mark Blake around who make us remember what the fuck it was all about. Recommended.
