Part of the reason why I love acting is that you do hope that somehow your work will connect to people and somehow expand their consciousness somewhat, and being able to challenge notions of prejudice through work, through my work, is really thrilling.

“I went through a phase when I was like, seventeen, I think. Where I took everything in my wardrobe and I dyed it green. So, that crappy Rit’s Green Dye. Where it’s like… it’s sort-of… it looks the color of, like, key lime pie. But, every single thing from my socks, to my underwear, to my shirts, to my pants. Everything was this one shade of green.

I was studying colors and what different colors meant. And… green was sort-of where I wanted to be at in my head. So, I was like, you know, “Screw it! I’m gonna dye everything this color green.” And I did it. And I just - just started dumping stuff in this green - in this water. And uhh… you know, it was like that chalky green color. It was…. Yeah, everyone was pissed.“
