The reason the news that Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh’s Ben Solo Star Wars film being shelved by Disney hits me so hard is that at every turn, Disney has hot the brakes on anything new and creative coming from Lucasfilm. They are willing to gove shows a single season in hopes of inflsting their streaming service, but after that? Nothing. No more Willow. No more Acolyte. No more Book of Boba Fett. No more Skeleton Crew. And i guarantee the same thing would have happened to Andor had the creative team not been contracted for two seasons.

People blame Kathleen Kennedy all the damn time, but Lucasfilm had approved of Driver and Soderbergh’s pitch. It was two of the suits at Disney that rejected it.

I am angry because I remember how I felt in May of 2023 when Willow, my favorite fantasy TV series, was removed from streaming. IT WAS NOT EVEN OFFICIALLY CANCELLED. One day we were told it was going to disappear, and then it did, and it hasn’t been seen anywhere else since.

Fuck Disney and fuck Bob Iger.

I feel disgusted with Disney after the news about the cancellation of "The Hunt for Ben Solo". And I'm crying.

At the same time, I am incredibly pleased with the existence of the script with the idea of Ben's revival, as well as the fact that Lucasfilm has approved it. I think all the fanfiction about his return can now be considered canon.

Irl’s been crazy and the flu knocked me out for a month, but I’m back with more Star Wars art👊

Feeling stronger than ever! God I missed drawing them!

Lately, I’ve been struggling with sharing my art. I often hold back when things don’t feel perfect, and that hesitation and self criticism slowly made it scarier to post at all. But the desire to reconnect with this community, and to simply enjoy creating art, helped me overcome that fear and finally finished this one.

So here’s to showing up again, even when it’s not perfect. Thank you all for still being here. Missed you all so much!
