[“A basic premise of straight culture is the idea that gendered bodies, especially women’s bodies, require purification and modification to be desirable—shaving, perfuming, toning, refining, shrinking, enlarging, and antiaging. But in queer spaces, it is often precisely the hairy, sweaty, dirty, smelly, or unkempt gendered body that is most beloved. In other words, queer desire is marked by a lustful appreciation for even those parts of men’s and women’s bodies that have been degraded by straight culture. Like a food adventurer who delights in those parts of the animal or plant deemed undesirable by the narrowing of mainstream tastes, queer people’s desire for the full animal has been less constrained. Recognizing this suggests that gay men may have a deeper or more comprehensive appreciation for men’s bodies than do straight women, just as lesbians’ lust for women is arguably more expansive and forgiving than straight men’s. But most importantly, because queer circuits of desire do not rely on the erotic encounter of “opposites” embedded in a broader culture of gendered acrimony and alienation, queer lust need not reconcile a conflict between wanting to fuck and generally disliking one’s fuckable population.”]

Arial and Helvetica are lovers to enemies toxic yuri because Arial is VERY verbally manipulative....Helvetica and sora are new yuri but Helvetica has trouble trusting people in romantic ways after her old relationship. So Sora has to take the time to prove that she'd never do anything to harm her until Helvetica really believes her (Even though they've already been friends for 4+ years now).

A little extra about that one: Helvetica, Arial, and Sora have to constantly see each other since they all work in the same building (Except Arial works on a different floor). Sometimes Arial will make moves on Sora in front of Helvetica just to piss her off and watch her get defensive about it.

Courier and Montserrat COULD be yaoi depending on how you look at it or just really close friends like,,,,, it's an interesting dynamic because i know Montserrat doesn't play about some google spreadsheets and Courier is the most laid back person you can imagine......

Wingdings and Webdings are definitely lovers at first sight. Nobody can understand Wingdings because she speaks a different language and all that but when Webdings shows up she finally feels seen and is happy to be understood. So Webdings can translate for her to everyone else and they're all shocked at the difference... Like they all thought she was just extremely antisocial but she just avoided everyone because she was upset they couldn't understand her.

Georgia and Cutive are definitely both lolita fashion girls that hate eachothers guts and butt heads over every decision. But then they have to work together and realize they have a ton in common and actually end up falling in love and moving in together after some time.... ENEMIES TO LOVERS YURI!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucida is actually also romantically interested in Webdings because she admires her bravery and skill.. She's also an awful homewrecker so she tries asking out Webdings while Wingdings is gone.... except Wingdings comes back while Webdings is in the middle of politely rejecting her and things get really ugly... Like Lucida gets sent to the hospital after the fight and needs stitches.

On a more platonic note Helvetica and Montserrat are really close because he's her boss. They banter occasionally but nothing serious. Courier and Montserrat have been friends since college and ended up living down the road from each other so they go hang out pretty frequently. Sora also enjoys volunteering at daycares in her free time because she's really good with children and is just an overall good person. Arial is childhood best friends with Times New Roman and even though they grew apart while growing up, they recently reunited and hang out every weekend. They're in the same bowling league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
