COOL!!!!!!! this is so great. in the last twenty minutes i have received a fuck ton of hate follows from shock porn blogs and other creeps. rape culture is such that if you set a boundary with an abusive person, instead of fucking listening to it they set all their friends on you. i'm not surprised. i'm not naive. i decided to say something instead of stay quiet, and i fully understand what the repercussions are for not staying fucking silent. I just left a relationship because I was afraid to speak about my needs and when I did make basic requests, they were met with extreme levels of hostility. I have never broken up with anyone before, not even my rapist. I have always stayed silent and waited until they were done with me. I am fucked up right now. I'm realizing that it is not safe for me to trust people and let them be close to me without a ton of work first. I am pretty unstable and relatively not okay. Receiving unwanted and unrelenting attention from a gross ass tumblr user is impacting me greatly. i think my #1 driving force for wanting to go into the therapy/counseling field is how many amazing, brilliant, phenomenal fat, disabled, black & brown, queer, trans, and otherwise fucked up crazy people there are who are desperately seeking support services, and when we finally fill all the paperwork and get to the end of the waiting list and pay our sliding-scale-slid-all-the-way-to-the-bottom-and-we-still-cant-afford-it therapy, across from us sits a thin, grey-haired, white cis person

One of my favourite spreads from Corrine Kenner’s Tarot for Writers is this one based on Freytag’s Pyramid — it’s also a good example of turning the typical charts and diagrams you might find in the writing process into a spread.

Card One: Exposition (Establish your story’s setting, mood, characters)

Card Two: Inciting Force (Introduces the conflict)

Card Three: Rising Action (Conflict! Complications! Problems!)

Card Four: Climax (Conflict turns to Crisis. Things come to a head here)

Card Five: Falling Action (Story begins winding down to conclusion)

Card Six: Resolution (The story’s conclusion)

Card Seven: Denouement (Literally ‘untying’, but I think of it the opposite way — tying up loose ends)

You can google Freytag’s Pyramid to get a deeper understanding of what those positions mean — because the information is so easily available, I’m not going to include it here, because it would take up a lot of extra space!
