Watching Tumblr try and psychoanalyze the anti-Roman Reigns group is one of my favorite things to witness.
I mean, just let people dislike who they dislike. I personally don't dislike Reigns, but I've been a massive AJ Styles fan since late-2003, very similar to Danielson. But I was as pissed as ever after that match. Reigns tosses Styles around the arena like a guy who needed to look strong (he didn't), then kicked out of Styles' finish twice (one assisted). Styles didn't even get to kick out of the spear, even after going through two tables. Like, what the fuck? WWE loves their even-steven booking but what about during a match?!
It's not science why people dislike the guy. There's many things (sticking to kayfabe) that are unlikable about Reigns. The new cocky persona, the ridiculous super strength (which undoubtedly will be used to overcome Lesnar), the kicking out of finishes, are a few obvious ones. The man wears a damn armored vest in his matches, that's a kayfabe-esque reason that I've disliked him to an extent.
It's all about letting people like who they like and hate who they hate, and being able to disagree like mature individuals. We all love wrestling, we're all passionate. The product is hot right now. But people who don't approach this topic with maturity and feel that they need to psychoanalyze people who dislike a wrestler aren't the people you want to have discussions with, and pro wrestling may not be for them.
Glad to see Seth back. But damnit AJ!
Saying there is “no reason for anyone to boo Reigns” makes ZERO sense. You’ve got his lack of personality. Bad booking. Lack of overall character progression.
….you can find plenty of reason to boo.
Just from a kayfabe sense, looking at things objectively, Reigns never seemed to take Styles seriously, or at his word. When Styles opted not to use a chair to beat up Reigns, he didn't. Brutally attacked by the Usos after, but then hen Styles defended himself he was then brutally beaten by Reigns.
So those things the OP mentioned are reasons to boo him enough, but there hasn't been one "good guy" thing that Reigns has done in this particular feud to deserve a whole lot of praise, to me.
"FOR FUCKS SAKE!" - Me during 95% of that main event.
Actually some pretty good submission wrestling in that match, but hard to get fully into that match since the previous match wasn't completely entertaining. But I think, in general, it's hard for those ladies to top the match they had back at NXT Arrival, which still is one of the greatest women's matches I've seen. That finish sucked, there's no disputing that. Bad. Those ladies deserve better.
Everyone has the potential to make a difference, including those who follow wrestling extensively like I do. Recently, a good friend of mine named Matty – you may know him from his Tumblr @ihavetillfiveref and podcast of the same name – officially established his nonprofit organization called the Superkick Foundation
After the successful “Superkick the Holidays” campaign, which featured a bevy of Young Bucks and Bullet Club-themed merchandise being donated to those in need, the next logical step was to create the Superkick Foundation. The aforementioned campaign raised over $1,000 and while that’s nothing to turn the other cheek toward, we can take things further. This is where the Superkick Foundation coms into play. We can’t make a change, though, without your support.
On that note, I welcome you guys to connect with us on all forms of social media. Like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Tumblr. Stay connected because there are big things ahead.
Thank you Robbie! Robbie works with us as what I call our "tumblr faithful" which have been himself, @sixdegreesofsandow, @lady-regal and of course, @ryantaylorgirl. The Superkick Foundation is THE charity for pro wrestling. We support indie wrestlers who work second jobs, can't pay medical bills and overall need extra cash for their own personal benefit, all while providing slick, new, innovative clothes to those in need. We are publicly supported by Donovan Dijak, and The Young Bucks, among tons of followers. So please, follow us on tumblr or Twitter @SuperkickFNDN!
Jericho's reactions to Ambrose's cage were priceless. I could watch that all night for three hours.
That Darren Young/Bob Backlund skit, followed by JBL's face afterward may have been the funniest thing I've fucking seen.
I loathe the “we want Sasha” chants during women’s matches. Not because I don’t believe that Sasha is fucking awesome, because she is, but can we, at least, pretend to care about whichever ladies are in the ring?!
Y'all are such babies, I swear
Yeah, I dislike something so I’m a baby. I like fans like you.
Yeah. If the crowd is too quiet, y'all cry. If the crowd doesn’t like what’s going on in the ring, y'all cry. If the crowd boos, y'all cry.
I love you too, fam.
If you can bitch about something you don’t like about WWE, then so can the fans who paid money to see it live. Relax. People have opinions, especially Chicago.
We're still going on about this?
AJ Styles belongs in the main event. If there is anything Styles has proven for the last 5 years, shit, the last 12 years, is that AJ Styles KNOWS how to bring you a high caliber main event. That match had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Very happy we will get this as a rematch in a few weeks. Really hope this match opened some eyes in the back. Forget his size, the main event is where Styles belongs.
Really happy to see AJ Styles main event a WWE PPV. Deserves it!
I'm hoping that Gallows & Gun tease turning on AJ, then Reigns vanquishes them. Then Balor debuts and helps AJ win the title. Bullet. Proof. Highly unlikely but a guy can dream!
Note the dude complaining about fans complaining about the Sasha Banks chants is spending his energy replying to just about every “Chanting for Sasha Banks during a match she’s not in”.
A dude complaining about people complaining about chants.
I swear, this is why I’m on Tumblr twice a week.
@ me next time, fam.
And yeah, I am. Spending so much energy moving my thumbs while this shit promo is on. Phew. How horrible, such energy. How dare I.
What else is on your mind, friend?

Who is "ya'll"? That was literally the first time I voiced displeasure at those chants. Fans chant a bunch of dumb shit, but regardless, fans can chant for whomever the want, because one or the other they paid or made some kind of investment into the product.
And with that, opens it up to fans like yourself, complaining about other people's complaining. So, does that include you in the "ya'll"?
