Being an assertive communicator in a world full of passive aggressive communicators is exhausting.

Trying to express valid emotions gets met with excuses and pivoting instead of acknowledgment and accountability. These deflections allow the toxic behavior get dismissed instead of reflected upon. Victim mentality occurs so that there is no admittance of the shitty behavior that occurred. Instead the narrative is twisted so that the expresser becomes the toxic one.

You can't build healthy relationships with people who dismiss your feelings or refuse to communicate. Love isn't enough when respect, consideration, and emotional safety are missing.
