if the afterlife exists in the snk universe, imagine hange meeting kuchel for the first time and she's taken aback because???? levi looks so much like her that she didn't even need to ask who she was??? and then hange starts talking about how much levi has achieved and kuchel does the same with childhood stories?????? there's no way this ain't canon ty for coming to my ted talk

hange sees kuchel for the first time and there is something familiar about her. that shade of black in her hair, that pale but pretty face and thin, soft-looking lips. and then hange looks up into her eyes, and, oh, she realizes who's in front of her immediately. it's the same grey eyes she stared everyday into, of course, she recognizes them. kuchel's gaze isn't quite as fierce or dark, but there is a softness in her eyes, the same that one could see in levi's eyes too, only if they looked a bit closer.

and hange feels actually nervous, because it's levi's mom, what should she even say to her. kuchel isn't making this easier for her, as she just silently stare at hange, a small serene smile playing on her lips.

"your son, um, levi. you raised him well," she begins uncertaintly. kuchel's gaze warms, and it fuels hange's courage to continue. "he is a good man, one of the best that I've known. thank you for him, he... made me really happy."

and kuchel presses hange close to her chest, thanking her as well.

"you made my son so happy too. you saved his life. and for that i thank you."

tears appear in hange's eyes and then fall down her cheeks, as kuchel continues to hold her in her arms.

when they separate, they sit down on a grass and kuchel asks hange to tell some stories about levi. hange happily obliges, and soon both of them are crying and laughing as hange recounters some of the happiest and saddest moments she shared with levi.

when she finishes, it's kuchel's turn. she talks about levi's childhood, and hange's smiling so widely, her face almost hurts. levi was such a sweetheart as a boy, and hange regrets not having him by her side right now. she would tease the hell out of him.

but hange's patient, she doesn't want to levi to return to her just yet. she wants him to find happiness, wants him to live the life they've always dreamed about.

in the meantime, hange will come up with some extremely devastating jokes. to make up for all the time levi spent without her teasing.

Only You) there’s smut, there’s exquisite romance, and there’s beautiful angst. it’s literally got everything!

Buried Alive by rizahawkaye - riza kicking butt? riza stealing the show? riza in general being an absolute badass?? this fic has it all. an au where she fakes her death to go undercover to infiltrate the group who tried to kill her. the group? based in ishval. the ocs and the villiaaaans omg they’re perfect in every way

FÜHRER PRESIDENT MUSTANG was assassinated today. The President was shot as he gave a speech at the recently completed Amestris-Xing Railroad Hub. The Governor of East District was also badly wounded, as well as a number of diplomats representing the Empire of Xing. The President died at 3.07pm. After a burst of gunfire that cut down the President, he was rushed to Eastern General Hospital, where emergency blood transfusions were given. He was 47, and was in the final stages of an incredibly popular re-election campaign that likely would have seen him take on a third fifth-year term. He is survived by his wife, Riza Mustang, who was also in attendance today. Preliminary reports suggest she was also injured, but these are unconfirmed as of printing.

On December 3rd, 1932, four days after becoming the country’s most famous widow, Riza Mustang slipped on a mourning veil. The delicate shroud reached beyond her waist, and it moved lightly in the cool winter wind as she followed her husband’s coffin in the cortege that travelled from the official residency of the Führer President to the Philip Andersen Military Cemetery. The veil was sheer enough to reveal her pale, drawn face – though not completely. The widow of Roy Mustang, just as much as she was during his tenure, ensured she was both visible and protected from the public eye.

Riza watched as Roy shrugged into his military jacket and adjusted it on his shoulders. Her stomach twisted at the thought of him leaving. They’d spent a lovely – secret – evening together last night and now morning was here she didn’t want him to go. They had work in a few hours, but the thought of being apart from him made Riza fidget restlessly. She wanted him to return to bed so she could either fall asleep against him or lie there and listen to his heartbeat. She’d never admit that out loud, but that was honestly what she wished to do. It would make her happy.

Roy shrugged. “The usual time.”

“And when will that be? Knowing your habits it could be any time of morning.”

“I like to pepper a little bit of mystery into your day,” he grinned.

Reposting this old drawing. Fmab really was an amazing anime. Everyday I’m just looking for something to fill the void I have since it ended knowing that nothing will ever compare.

I think Roy didn’t completely finish scarring all of Riza’s back because he really couldn’t bear to hurt Riza. And he probably hates himself for it. For first of, hurting someone he loves so dearly, and secondly, for not being able to keep his full word to her. Everytime he sees her back he would probably run his fingers over her scars and have a bitter reminder of how he hurt Riza.
