Vader lives with fear every single second of his life. That is more or less an aspect of being a Sith Lord. To harness emotions such as fear and turn them into power. There is one thing, however. A fear that he can’t possibly take advantage of :)

She really did look quite young, didn’t she? In a sense, it was good… especially for a young woman. But it upset her a little that folk SELDOM saw her for who she really was.

‘I’m not a child.’ Haruka furrowed her brows before her expression softened. ‘And why’s that? If everywhere in this city is as dangerous as everybody makes it out to be, then I might as well never leave home to begin with.’

And a life stuck between four walls was no life for Haruka.

He was quite familiar with that stare. Foolish optimism. Unwavering innocence. It almost pained him to look at someone with a soul as pure as snow. Unwilling to allow even the horrors of the world to taint and warp her. And yet, she was little more than a frail little girl in his eyes. He should have simply ignored her. Leave her to her own devices. Whatever happened to her was none of his concern.

And yet..

No wonder the force was completely out of balance in this place. The majority of these people were chaotic and insane. Light and darkness seemed to have little to no meaning here.

Okay, so not a costume. Then what in the good name of the lord was he wearing all that for? “Alright, then what’s th’ deal with it? I mean, all things considered, it’s a lil’ out there even for this place.”

Slightly condescending. Perhaps that was a common trait among the people of this world. Thankfully, he was nowhere near as terrible a being as he once was. Had that not been the case, he would have reacted in a much more.. aggressive manner. There was more ‘Anakin Skywalker’ beneath that bulky suit at the moment than ‘Darth Vader’, however.

“If I were to remove this suit for an extended period of time, I would die. That is what the ‘deal’ is with it. Though I doubt you’d care to listen to my circumstances.“

Perhaps this was a form of punishment of it’s own. Hardly the worst way for a man such as him to suffer, but he would be remiss to claim that he did not deserve it after the life he had led.

Of course, Vader could understand the eyes upon him. He certainly stood out among the rest of this city’s populace, even when he tried to seclude himself and evade their sight. Still, he had little desire to engage in idle conversation. In truth, he had no idea what he truly desired at the moment.

╳ ┊AS SHE PEERED up from her phone she caught sight of the source of her frustration. The resonating deep breaths had forced her to hang up on her employer for the time being ❝Hello? Yes, you! Tall, dark, and gloomy.❞ The alleyway was hardly large but still, she approached with her hands settling on her hips. ❝Mind turning that thing off or maybe hyperventilating somewhere else. A girl is trying to pull off a robbery here.❞

He was without aim. Without purpose. The man who’s role had been to slay all who stood in the emperor’s path to subjugating the galaxy had decided to turn his back on that very purpose. But before he could take action, he somehow ended up here. Confused. Remorseful. Angry. But clearly not angry enough to react the way he oft would when spoken to in such a manner. He had chosen to pay those around him little mind, but this one addressed him directly. He replied with a tone of nonchalance.

“If my presence is detrimental to your efforts, then I fear that they are doomed to fail.“

He had little desire to decipher what most of these people were saying in relation to his appearance. Though, given their tone, it was most likely meant in a whimsical manner. A tone very few had taken with him in quite some time.
