most of the time tony would engage in talk around the club, heck if he had enough to drink he might do some awkward dancing and then live to regret it the next day when he appeared splattered all over the newspapers and not to mention the internet. but tonight he was a little more reserved. he’d found a corner for himself and got a drink. the sunglasses offered him as much as a disguise as he could ask for and he kept to the darkest corner he could.
he was enjoying his drink, sipping at the scotch bit by bit, savouring the taste that travelled down his throat and then into his stomach. but then he felt the sharp shards against his neck and the back of his head along with the liquid splashing up against him. tony stared wide eyed into his glass and put it down so he could turn to face the accused.
“jesus-”
his hands reached back try to swiftly wipe the glass away careful not to hurt himself with it.
“do you usually smash glasses in the direction of people you don’t know? whats got your panties in a twist?”
Could he be anymore stupid? The mire of emotions coursing through Charlie’s system weighed down on him like an unbearable weight –– only igniting his scintillating embarrassment. Words could not express how unreasonably adolescent he felt, && he wanted to shake it all away like an etch-a-sketch. Just when he thought he could ‘keep his cool’, he’d lost it in five seconds flat.
If there was a cliff, Charlie swore he’d jump it. This clearly wouldn’t be a situation he’d ever disclose to his friends.
“No sir, I was just – “ Taking a step forward, he offered a hand, picking shards off the stranger, brushing what he could away in a hurry. If the man asked him to stop, he would, because Charlie would understand. && what could he honestly say? How could he give a reasonable reply to something so unreasonable? He couldn’t blame the man if he wanted to kill Charlie.
“I just get so mixed up sometimes, I wasn’t thinking” He breathed. “I really shouldn’t have done that, I really am sorry.”
