While it was a blessing to not be in danger of being ripped apart by 'Shadows' anymore, there was a brand new shiny wrench in things. Nix grabbed that faux gun out of instinct to help with the mess he assumed he caused and unlocked some.. power. Though thanks to that, it seemed he was mixed up in whatever was going on! "Hold on.. You mean this weird stuff happens every night? These Shadows or whatever always show up during it too? I feel like this is some kind of bad dream.." This was a lot to take in at once!

Fortunately-or perhaps, unfortunately for Nix, the other second-year student wasn't all that more experienced as a member of SEES. It was still relatively recent that he'd awakened to his persona (Or personae? He's not sure.) and Eiji was still trying to figure out the role of being their Tartarus expedition leader. At least, he hopes it was only a de-facto role until that Akihiko guy recovered. But Eiji gives him his usual, somewhat blank stare as Nix rambled on, tired grey eyes watching him.

"We don't...well, I don't go in every night...my constitution couldn't handle that much." So far, they had been making decent progress towards the next block of Tartarus, but this was new to Eiji as well, and he would often spend the following day resting, in class if not in the dorm. "But...that's right. The Dark Hour and the Shadows...they arrive every night. At least...most people are lucky to...sleep through it?" Would being turned into a coffin really count as "sleeping through it", though?

early morning mobile post, but it’s something i needed off my chest.

i have my criticisms of hoyoverse games, don’t get me wrong, but i sincerely believe some people blow them out of proportion. especially when comparing them to gacha games from a…certain other company.

do genshin and star rail have greedy gacha and monetization systems? they do, but its not unique to hoyoverse games as a whole. i’m not defending the company like that, i’m simply trying to say that gacha games overall tend to be greedy, because that’s part of their nature.

do i believe there could’ve been better story and plot structure decisions with their recent updates? yes. natlan suffered a lot from some of those, in addition to other internal and external forces, and i won’t lie, amphoreus almost bored me to death with how long the beginning patches were. i will still say though, that how it’s been in genshin is nothing compared to how it was in inazuma. fuck inazuma, man.

i don’t have much of an opinion on zzz, never played it wince i couldn’t really get into it, and i’ve seen part of hi3, enough to know that the gacha system there is certainly…something. but i don’t really have anything to say on them.

if you don’t want to play hoyoverse games or you’ve stopped playing them as a whole based on recent experiences and decisions, i’m not going to knock you for it. it’d make me a hypocrite, for one thing, and a bit of a asshole as another. all i ask is that for people to respect when others stick around with something they no longer or never got into. if i can respect people into that other big gacha game, then you can do the same.
