He knew well that ace hadn’t studied from how he responded to the question; being the maknae he was so easy to read, honestly.) Mhm. (’he continued, nodding slowly, eyebrow raised and arms crossed tight against his chest as if he was about to scold the other, but his words were otherwise.) If you don’t study well, One of these days, you’ll say something embarrasing in public. (’it was a sort of scolding but it was more like gentle banter, teasing if you may. Yet, he also understood with all the work they were doing–preparing for a comeback and also trying to do so many things imbetween, he let it slide.) If I’ve extra time, I’ll tutor you some more. (’he offered now, a lot more gentle than before. Jinsoo, when he actually showed people how he was–he sounded like a old grandpa, talking to his grandchild.)

(he’d been caught. he should have known to just be truthful with jinsoo from the beginning because he was the one who usually seen through his fibs. he snickered a little, covering his smile with his hand. ace knows somewhere in the back of his mind he should feel bad for not keeping up with his studying but it was just too hard these days.) i know hyung but it’ll be okay... because i’m so cute they’ll just think it was cute right? (or not... but that would hopefully never happen because he always had his other members to back him up.) oh really? (his voice went excited, he always liked when jinsoo took time out of his day to work with him, for some reason it just made him feel a bit special, he knew from first hand experiences that jinsoo didn’t just give out his time to just anyone so ace always felt a bit special to have good attention from him.) that would be really great hyung!

“ugh, diets.” sojin sighed, slumping back in her chair in defeat, lips forming a petulant pout. if there was one thing she hated about the industry, it was the strict dieting. she understood it, sure, but it didn’t mean she had to like it. she could keep herself in shape just fine and still eat cake! “i can’t really have sweets either, which sucks. now i really want some too, but noooo, can’t have that.” that didn’t stop her from eating them, though. just occasionally. she deserved to reward herself, right? “we could get bibambap or something. or just get boba. that’s always good.”

“boba sounds good,” he smirked before looking up at the ceiling. “but i really want something with icing on it...” he groaned and looked over. “i mean how will they know if we eat just one snack right? it’ll be fine. we just have to hid it okay?” he laughed a little. “boba or eating a bad snack?” he weighed his hands, the latter hand going higher than the first. “or we could... get both?”

“You know I cant.” he murmured, a little bit more hostile than he had intended. Jinsoo was one of the weaker dancers in the group and even though he seemed to shine when it came to things on stage and he seemed to keep up with his members– He simply didn’t have that raw talent for dance like the other’s did; No, He always took a bit longer to perfect his moves–and of course, Jin had his skill over the others on other things and everyone had things they shined at and things they– well… Didn’t shine at; Yet, for a perfectionist like Jinsoo, that wasn’t always the easiest concept to wrap one’s head around.

Breathing in slowly, deeply, he looked to the others and nodded again, “I’m sure.” he answered properly, finally. “Look, I’ll just… take it slow?” he slowly offered cause he could feel the looks on him and it made his skin crawl.

chati flinches at the hostility in jinsoo’s voice. he should be used to the strong way his hyung speaks sometimes but it never sank in completely. he drops his head slightly, knowing where he was coming from. it was always hard to take a step back because of one minor thing. they are told from the beginning to always keep pushing no matter what, if they stop for anything at all there is a chance they might never debut or make it in the bustling industry and it’s true. chatikamon has seen it happen before. there are times when taking a couple steps back can be the end of everything that you have worked so hard for. it’s scary but sometimes a break is needed to refresh yourself. sometimes a break isn’t always a step back. 

ace pressed an open hand against jinsoo’s arm. he took a slow breath and looked at his members before nodding. he knew he wasn’t going to be able to stop jinsoo, he was too stubborn to listen. “please take it easy okay? it’s not going to kill you to go slow for once practice hyung...”

With two iced Americanos and a bag with pastries from the cafe nearby in her hands, Jisoo hums to herself while waiting for the elevator to reach her floor. The place was certainly familiar to the ex Diamond Music trainee, she could probably manage to leave the building blindfolded. Still humming a soft tune from one of Queen’s songs, she strolls down the hallway after stepping out of the elevator, looking for Player’s dance studio. Upon finding the room, she stops her humming and knocks on the door before letting herself in. “Jisoo noona has arrived,” She announces, removing her mask to reveal the grin on her face. “And she brought coffee and sweets!”

the knock on the door didn’t even register to him, he was panting heavily going through the steps of the dance he struggled with the most for their comeback. he was nearly ready to tell whoever walked in to beat it but then he heard her. like an angel talking to him. he stopped in his tracks and looked in the mirror too surprised to turn completely around. he wiped the sweat off of his forehead and grinned. he was still pretty lost on how he’d gotten such a person to come talk to him and bring him sweets but he wasn’t about to deny her. “i can’t eat sweets noona!” he whined slightly but turned around and walked a bit closer to her. “thank you... I will eat it well- as long as you don’t tell my manager on me.” he laughed.

☁ -  she’s set on jogging to the nearest convenience store for some snacks, but per usual something distracts hayden from doing JUST that. she’s gathering her things and stuffing them into a backpack after another training session with sojin when she thinks she hears - something. hooking the straps onto her shoulders, the female paces her way to the source. barely cracking the door to the other room, she waits a moment, catching sight of none other then ace. giving a small squeal the female comes up behind him in a surprise back hug. “ HEY! ” she all but yells, in an attempt to further startle him. “ whatcha’ doin? ”

ace barely sees the flash of hair behind him before he jumping out of his skin when arms wrap around his midsection. he’s pulling his headphones out and pouting in the mirror at himself when he hears the familiar voice of his favorite noona from luv. he relaxes so easily into her arms though that a smile turns his face bright. “i was dancing but I guess i’m not anymore... what are you doing?” he asked quietly, pulling his ipod from his pocket and shutting the music, that blaring too loudly, off.

the middle of the smallest dance studio was hot. headphones hooked in his ears, his mother would scold him for how loud the music was. it was too loud for comfort but not quite loud enough to drown out his heavy breathing. he was taking a split second break to wipe the sweat off his brow and make sure he still had feeling in his feet. he was attempting his own choreo to a song of his choice, it probably wasn’t the right time to do so, since player was still promoting right now.  but he couldn’t help it. sometimes promoting stressed him out and the easiest release was dance or someone to take his mind off things, but since everyone was busy at present time he was going to dance until he couldn’t anymore.

“oh!” sojin stopped mid-sentence, repeating the word and explaining it. she gave him a reassuring smile, waving her hand absentmindedly. “it’s fine, don’t worry about it! it’s a pretty hard word.” he doesn’t need to feel bad about his korean, especially when he’s doing just fine in her opinion. learning a language is a pretty difficult feat. “anyway, what do you want to do now? i think i’m done with practice for the day—or it’s later.”

ace caught on quickly to what she was explaining, nodding enthusiastically, feeling slightly less self conscious and glad she explained it to him so easily. some people weren’t as forgiving when they had to stop and backtrack just to talk a normal conversation with him. but he was getting better, it was an actual miracle that he’d gotten as far in the language as he had in the three and half short years he’d been studying the language. He shrugged a little at her question, leaning back in his seat. “we could go find something to eat... i’m hungry... but i’m on a diet so no sweets... even though I really want a sweets.”

I guess your accent is cute, Cha Dongsaeng-ya~.  (’he spoke a bit more softly now, patting his dongsaeng’s back. Of course, he hadn’t really meant what he’d said; there was plenty to be proud of with their young maknae, but he would never say such things aloud to his face. No, no. His head would grow and fly off if he did such a thing.) Regarding that, by the way, How’s your studying coming along?

(the look on chatikamon’s face went sweet quickly, his smile turning his eyes into half moons and his eyelashes fluttering at the compliment that his hyung gave him. but it changed just as quick into him ducking his head and trying to hide his smile. the fact that jinsoo was the one to bring up his studies didn’t surprise him, it was always him, but it didn’t make him feel any less guilty over ignoring them like he had been. sometimes dancing and singing just got in the way of studying.) well you know hyung, we’ve been pretty busy and... i... have been studying a bit less than usual. but it’s okay! (he tried, giving jinsoo a small smile.)

ace couldn’t help but the let his bottom lip poke out in a pout when she puled his ear. but he didn’t fight her anymore on the subject, he dropped to his hands and feet in front of her and did his twenty push ups without much trouble. he sits back on his heels and pouts at her again- but he knows. at least he likes to think he understands how much she wants them all to grow. he wants to grow as well, he wants to get better and better until hes the best. he won’t get anywhere if he lays around. “sorry noona~” he said sickeningly sweet as he stood up to his full height in front of her.
