“Yeah I think this can work.” The rookie rapper adjusted the top flower crown. They’d been given to her by fans outside the building just minutes before and so of course she was going to wear them now. “What do you think? Does it look like too much?”

Of course it does. Who wears two flower crowns to practice? She should’ve lied to those fans when they asked her to wear them. That’s what Areum would’ve done. “I think you look very cute, unnie. I could just eat you right up. I know you usually don’t go for cute concepts but I think they’d fit you well.”

“Do you think I have a fever?” Mei asked the person next to her as she placed the back of her hand on her forehead. The last time Mei had been sick was a couple months ago when she caught strep throat and was miserable for the week. Now would not be the time for a repeat, though she knew it was definitely the season for it. For all she knew though, she could be overreacting as she sometimes did. “I don’t know about you, but I don’t get sick often. And when I do, it isn’t pretty,” Mei added, a concerned look on her face. 

“I wouldn’t be able to tell. My hands are always cold so everyone’s forehead feels hot.” Areum explained with a sympathetic nod. The LUV member didn’t really know the Crush member and didn’t really have any reason to talk to her besides the fact that the latter just struck up a conversation. In fact, she felt like Mei was giving her a little too much information. “If you’re so worried then you should go to the doctors, hm?”

( I’ve deleted the self para but I will keep this part of her character. I realize that the para was far too detailed and unnecessarily so. I should’ve focused more on her development of the even rather than the event itself and that was wrong of me. I will be more careful in the future and although the backstory itself is unchanged I realize it was insensitive of me to post something so harmful publicly and i apologize to anyone i may have bothered with this. )

Cute. Honestly, this girl was blander than vanilla and Areum had no interest in speaking to her when she didn’t have to. It didn’t bother Areum whether or not Jade liked her, the point was that the soloist could not obtain any real proof of her bad intent. “Do you ever feel lonely going solo then? You can’t travel and perform with friends the way groups can after all.”

as much as i admire how much thought and depth you put into your muse, it worries me how dark she is for an idol rp. i respect the fact that she is your muse and you can do what you want with her (and i also respect that you have the decency to tag trigger warnings), but i feel that your recent self para is a bit uncomfortable and troubling for the dash especially when you tagged that you wrote it mainly for yourself. i don't mean to be rude, but just please be mindful of what you post publicly.

( That’s fine I understand your concern. I will be careful in the future. Thank you for telling me your thoughts on this. I know other people both perviously in the rp and currently have similar backstories (i.e characters with sexual abuse histories) but I do see how a para itself can be crossing some lines. I have no plans to post anything else of the sort in the future and will not be as detailed in it either. This was also partially because another mun was asking me about Areum’s siblings and wanted to take up one of them and we had discussed for a long time the backstory etc. So I wrote this a bit for them too since we had been plotting.

Basically this was a component of Areum that I planned from the start and I think it adds a whole other layer + there is another mun who wanted to play one of Areum’s siblings and was okay with taking on the complex role that is her brother. 

Perhaps I could take down the para but keep this part of her past? I could simply use that developmental piece to help me portray her but not put it out publicly? Maybe that would be the best option since no one would be bothered by the subject matter but my portrayal of Areum as well as the role of her brother would not be affected. 

Anyways thank you for politely alerting me of your concerns and if you have any more then we can talk off-anon about it. Maybe through messenger? I don’t wish to make anyone uncomfortable and I had that self para in my drafts for about a week unsure about it. I will be more careful in the future about these sorts of things. )

“Sailor Jupiter!” Belle lit up when she saw her maknae in the magical girl uniform. “You look so cute, dongsaeng. But aren’t you cold? That skirt is really short. I can almost see everything.” A pause, followed by a purse of the lips. “Well, maybe you don’t have to worry. There’s not much to see.”

eva laughed slightly at the girl’s praise, bowing her head in thanks. “areum, your costume is really creative! i used to love scooby doo when i was little. you really suit daphne, honestly!” she grins even wider at the girl’s next comment. “oh? i’m so glad you like it! we haven’t released anything in so long, so i was worried.”

Areum grinned brightly. “Yeah I thought I might as well make use of this vibrant hair colour. Hopefully I’ll get something a little more understated next comeback.” She patted her own head with a small sigh. “You’d look good in blonde though, just like Sailor Moon. Ever thought of trying it?”

Jihoon had been scrolling through his Instagram when the young girl asked him a question. He peered up at her, smiling slightly at the sight of the rubber spider in her hands. “Oh, that? I think I saw two trainee’s with one of those earlier maybe?” He peered into the chip bowl. “Do you wanna taste one to figure it out, or should I?”

It would not be favourable to taste chips with rubber on it. At least it wouldn’t taste like insect guts, those were disgusting. She took the toy completely in her fist and drew her attention back to the bowl. “Ugh. Trainees? This is why the company lets them in as a treat. Those two ruin it for the other kids...But...maybe no one will notice a weird taste? Try it out.”

Areum furrowed her brow. That would’ve worked just fine with any other trainee but not this guy. Awkward. “Oh, um, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable. When I use ‘hoobae’ it’s just an affectionate term for someone younger than me or a trainee. It’s not meant to be like...a power claim or whatever.” This was the truth. And she sort of remembered his name in passing. It sounded like Hansel, like form the nursery rhyme. Instead of guessing, she thought it safer to just inquire. “Alright then. So what is your name? That way I can use it.”

“Um hey.” Areum tapped the trainee on the shoulder. “Your cape’s caught on the arm of the chair over there, just a heads up.” The LUV member pointed to the seat on the other side of the girl. She would’ve loosened it herself but that might look a little weird, right?

“Oh sh-” Areum resisted the urge to swear. It simple wouldn’t fit her image. But as the beverage began to make its way down her dress, she became less inclined to move. The LUV member looked up to the person who had carelessly poured part of their drink onto her nice purple dress. “Uh, hoobae. Could you get me some napkins, please?”

“No, no, I’m not sad or anything.” Bell assured the other girl. “I just don’t feel the need to my own group’s song. I hear it enough anyways.” Even though the rest of the LUV members were out on the floor dancing ( some to the exact choreo ), the lead vocalist had no desire to do such a thing.

Luckily, a Daphne Blake costume didn’t require much makeup. She didn’t even have to wear a wig. At least Areum could get some use out of this awful orange colour. The washroom of the hotel was very nicely decorated with a malachite-mimic of a counter top. Areum looked into the mirror and carefully reapplied her makeup wen another girl came out of the stall and began to do the same. Unfortunately, the LUV member could not place who this was. “Please, sweetie. Your makeup looks perfect. You don’t need a touch up honestly. You’re practically glowing in that pink.”

Areum picked the giant rubber spider out of the middle of the chip bowl. Was this a prank? Because it was in very bad taste. “You don’t know who did this do you, sunbae? I think the potato chips might taste rubbery now. How unfortunate.” She dangled the pitch black creature between her fingertips.

“Unnie, did you know you’re the cutest person ever? Your face is literally like a doll’s.” Belle gushed at her sunbae’s Sailor Moon costume while adjusting the purple headband on her own. “Oh, and I haven’t told you yet but I adore the Jewels comeback. The song just has such a melancholy vibe to it and the music video is breathtaking.”
