Game Review: SimJanitor 8: Smooth Moperator (Commodore 64)
11/10
The global hit series "SimJanitor" reached its zenith with the 1986 release of "SimJanitor 8: Smooth Moperator," sparking a cultural phenomenon that included pop bands, a Scandi-noir crime series, and a revival of mopping from Atlanta to Abu Dhabi. As always, you step into the shoes of Randy Hammerflask, and YES, it's 5pm again.
With the employees of IBM's head office in Flatparp, Kentucky heading home, it's your time to shine—or rather, mop. Equipped with a mop, bucket, and a slew of cleaning products, you aim to hit high scores by mastering the classic cycle of mop, rinse, and repeat. Super mops, extra squeegees and high performance soaps are new upgrades in this release, too.
Extra points are awarded for gleaming floors and erasing graffiti, ensuring you stay on your toes. Keep an eye out for the hidden Easter egg that unlocks a cleaning partner - none other than Jon Bon Jovi! His cameo doesn't dampen the fun; instead, it amps up the excitement as you strive to ensure the entire building sparkles by 9am. "SimJanitor 8" is a playful, addictive delight that leaves you scrubbing your way to satisfaction.
