The natural response to trauma is to run away from ourselves.
But show up for yourself.
It’s scary, it will be hard and it will be so be the single most difficult thing you can do for yourself. But you must.

“if i love you, i would never want you to be the same person you were when i first met you time after. keep your core values close and maintain your principles but know that my love doesn’t fear your growth, my love only wants to see you bloom into the fullest version of yourself.”
— iambrillyant
Healing is more than getting back to the version of yourself before you were hurt. It’s you becoming the best version of yourself.
“sometimes growth looks like making the conscious decision not to indulge in what feels familiar by repeating unhealthy cycles. choosing what’s right for you even when it feels uncomfortable is how you water yourself.”
— iambrillyant
Our mind is our greatest asset. Train it to see opportunities instead of obstacles.
“Every effort to hold on to something blocks the arrival of something new that could change your life.”
— Luke Rineheart
We need to let go of what no longer resonates with our energy in order to receive the new things, experiences, connections and relationships that our soul is longing for. It’s already ours, and often we don’t even know what “it” is, we don’t even need to. All we need is to allow the space for it to come through.

live. live messy and vibrant and warm and wholeheartedly. dare to embrace the parts of yourself that are confusing and complex and don’t come in pretty packages. let yourself accept the love and light you engulf others in. live and live unapologetically as yourself, the battered, bruised and muddled parts included.
