Update?

Today is my last day at the job I've had for the past 3 years. Tuesday I'm starting at a bigger company that actually has the room to turn my job into a career.

My entire summer has changed from being a boring, slow, easy 3 months to 3 months of changes and new things and new people and a new environment and new expectations. I'll be going from the seasoned, knows what they're doing employee, to the new person at the very bottom of the barrel. Except I need to stop thinking about it like that, the bottom rung. I got this position because I am skilled and know what I'm doing. There was competition for this position and I beat everyone.

Naturally I'm scared.

But damn if it doesn't feel like my life can finally start again.

Right, so I finally got off my lazy butt and made this happen. Finally an official member of The Rebel Legion. :)

As life trudges on and I nix out all the toxic things in it, I'm finding that events through the RL are more rewarding than the events through my saber group, which has started to forget about charity and focus more and more on being an OG theatrical group.

Honestly, I'm starting to not agree with the direction my group(s) are taking, despite liking all the training and skill developing that comes with learning how to fight (well) with a lightsaber. They're losing sight fast. Some days I'm ready to close that chapter in my life and others I'm not. I'll never put a saber down, absolutely not, and have found another outlet for that thankfully should I bid my groups adieu. It's kinda hard, considering how I've been doing saber choreo for almost 3 years now, and put a lot of time and energy into those groups. I just have to remember that there is opportunity in everything.
