A Multi-Story Urban Treehouse That Protect Residents from Air and Noise Pollution

Zeleň ve městech a zeleň v architektuře je společensky stále aktuálnějším tématem, kterou na Archspace průběžně reflektujeme, naposledy například v příspěvku o bytové rezidenci 25 Verde v Turíně. Ke Dni Země představujeme „Dům na stromy“ House for Trees, který byl mimo jiné nominován v kategorii architektury na cenu Designs of the Year 2015. Rostoucí význam problematiky zeleně v urbánním a architektonickém prostoru zohledňují také další nominace, mezi které patří Garden School v Pekingu od studia Open Architecture nebo rezidence s vertikálními zahradami One Central Park od Ateliers Jean Nouvel.

Zvýšení zájmu o zelenou architekturu, která teď zaznamenává celosvětový boom, zapříčinily dlouhodobé aspekty, mezi které patří minimum zeleně v městském prostoru (například v Ho Chi Minu jsou to pouze 0,25% zastavěné plochy), extrémně znečištěné ovzduší a postupná ztráta kontaktu s přírodou, která zasahuje zvláště současnou generaci. „Dům na stromy“ House for Trees  studia Vo Trong Nghia Architects má snahu tuto situaci změnit, cílem projektu je vrátit zeleň do měst s vysokou hustotou zalidnění. Pět betonových domů je navrženo jako pět obřích květináčů s dostatečnou vrstvou půdy v posledním patře, tak aby z něj mohly růst velké stromy, které při bouřkách a přívalových deštích zadrží množství vody a tak sníží nebezpečí záplav ve městě.

„Dům na stromy“ vytvořilo mladé architektonické studio z Vietnamu Vo Trong Nghia Architects (2006) se sídlem v Hanoi a Ho Chi Minu, které sdružuje kolem 60 architektů a inženýrů, jejichž tvorbu charakterizuje využití místních zdrojů a práce s výrazovými prostředky jako jsou voda, vzduch a vítr, které jsou určující pro vzhled „asijské zelené architektury“ 21. století.

Local Lens: Out and About in Belo Horizonte with @adaniella

“I’m inspired by Belo Horizonte’s contrasts, from its breathtaking landscapes to the city’s colors, which speak for themselves,” says Belo Horizonte Instagrammer Daniella Cabizuca (@adaniella). Having lived in Belo Horizonte for the past 12 years, Daniella finds delight in capturing the city through images. “Belo Horizonte is an extremely photogenic city, no matter your taste or style.”

Daniella’s favorite place to take photos is the Mercado Central, a local market where you can find a large diversity of food and drinks. “The Mercado allows me to explore my fascination with colors and shapes.” When in the mood for landscapes, Daniella heads to the Lagoa da Pampulha, a beautiful lake where the famous São Francisco de Assis church is located. “The Lagoa’s amusement park is also really great. Its angles and colors make for wonderful photos.”

To experience the phenomenon behind the city’s name (Belo Horizonte translates to “beautiful horizon”), Daniella suggests visiting the Parque das Mangabeiras. “You can see the entire city from here. It’s a very interesting place to take pictures. Nature is all around, and that is very inspiring.”
