“Aim to be a Responsible Media And Information Literate Individual”

This is a generation when being a media and information literate plays a primarily role in our everyday life. It talks about different kinds of media or literary material. It has different platforms like social media and blogging platforms. We use these kind of platforms to get to know more people, be aware of what is happening around the globe, what is latest trend and also to entertain media users.

Being a media and information individual, you must value critical thinking. You must think critically, scrutinize the information and be able to distinguish false or misleading information viz-a-viz the genuine and reliable ones. Learn to analyze so that you won’t falsely criticize other people in the media. You just don’t keep posting and posting. Think before you act on everything you do in the internet because it would also reflect on your personality.Example of this is when you are using different social media platforms. People who you talk with to will recognize who you really are through the means of chatting, posting and other online activities and you must think also for you to avoid talking to the wrong person because you will be a victim of posers and its the number trending in the different social media especially in facebook. The best thing to do is accept friends who you really know and make a background check before judging other people for you to not offend other people. You should not just read text on the internet but also learn to understand and learn from what you see and what you get. Best example of this is when you read something online like articles and blogs. You should analyze what you read by the means of knowing who the author is and what website did you get that information to know if its the right and official website or not in order for us to avoid such fake news scams and other activities that can be harmful not just to us but also to other people around the globe.

Being a media and information literate Individual means being a responsible person. We should be cautious on all the activities we read or post on the different media platforms. We use them wisely and follow proper netiquette. Media and information literacy play a big role in our life especially in the millennial generation we are in today. Therefore, think before you agree and analyze before you disagree or criticize. We should use helpful information wisely, efficiently and effectively.

“Hardwork”

The warmth of my sweat matches the pain inside. The smell of my blood rushing through my veins. As I run through the court, A sweat will be spilling.

Every sweat is an effort. Every mistake is a lesson. The injuries that I taste is worth it. The pressure that I feel from the crowd makes me nervous.

Every possession is important. Every time I drive through the ring is a risk. Every shot should shoot through that hole. If I lose I train. If I train no one can stop me from doing it. I empty my mind and focus on how to pass those towers.

The poem simply tells us that the persona in the poem is a boy who loves the girl so much. The theme here in the poem is that he gives the girl his everlasting love. The summary of this poem is a boy who loves the girl no matter what happens. He will do anything just for the girl. A feeling of this boy strikes into his heart that he had never felt before. But in the end the girl never came back to him and all the dreams of the boy has shattered.

The sense of the poem is a boy offering his true love even though the girl is just one-sided. The poetry also expresses the deep love of the boy but the girl has a lover also that she likes. Even though his heart freezes like a ice he will wait for the girl and still offer his true love for her. He will wait until the end.

The poem has no rhyme at all. It’s a free verse poem.It has no fix consistent and metrical pattern. But I like how it is say. The meter is changing and changing so there’s no constant meter. The rhyme changes also but some are rhyme especially the ones ending with love part of the poem.

My thoughts about the poem is I’m impress on what the boy did here for the girl. What a everlasting love of the man. I can relate also on this poem so i chose this poem. There’s also a girl that I love but in a different story. The concept is good and all can relate to it. Pablo Neruda is amazing and the words he use was brilliant also. I was impress on the boy’s bravery of loving a girl(one-sided) until the end. The important here is he show his true love to that girl. I feel sad when his efforts was shattered but he will definitely find a girl who is perfect for her that will make their relationship last forever. Amazing Pablo Neruda what poem.

Truths or ideas that is revealed is a young boy who married a girl at a very young age and full of regrets. The idea here in the story is related to us teenagers that you’ll regret anything one’s its already done. No replays or rewinds. You just take it or leave it. We need to face the consequences of our action take. Another idea is we need to take life  easy and enjoy our teenage life.

I agree on the ideas that are revealed here in the story because its about us and we should be open in these ideas here in the story. I agree also because I know what is the right thing to do and what is not the right thing t do and here all I can say is poor to that couple at a very young age they have a family already. Ideas are true and there’s no fraud in this story.

All i can say about the ideas of this two literature is amazing for me. I’m amaze because in this two literature  I can see there similarities because the poem when i was one and twenty is just the same as the content of the story entitled foot note to youth. it’s just a revise of the footnote to youth that turns into a way of  a poem. I can say also that these ideas are expressed not only because they just want to write but also tell us the means of living a part of our life and that is teenage life. It was interesting and full of lessons.

"Letting T.I.P. patients die shows mercy”

Letting the patients die shows mercy why? Here are some information or shall we say my proofs why mercy killing shows mercy. One is because it reduces the spread of diseases.  The longer the duration that the sick person is kept alive, it may increase the risk of others being affected by the disease if the sick person is not handled properly. Second, mercy killing relieves suffering.  In what way? If a terminally-ill patient faces a long, slow, painful death, surely it is much kinder to spare them this kind of suffering and allow them to end their life comfortably. Pain medications used to alleviate symptoms often have unpleasant side effects or may leave the patient in a state of sedation. It is not as if they are really ‘living’ during the time for example, if they are hooked in a mechanical ventilator; they are merely waiting to die, because they are only breathing through a life support system. They should have the right to avoid this kind of torturous existence and be allowed to die in a humane way.

Appeal to "naturalism" is a very bad argument. We take medical pills, we put up an umbrella to avoid having rain fall on us, we try to not live in a tribal manner like our ancestors where we deem ourselves to live a civilized life where we do not simply kill each other and rape each other because it is the "natural conclusion" of our actions. Suffering may a part of the human condition and it can be argued to be useful in preventing us from self-destructive habits, physical dismemberment or physiological damage due to negligence of the body, etc. However, does that justify that we ought to endure a pointless pain just because it must be part of life's experience? Just because life is unfair doesn't mean we should start treating others unfairly, or just because sex is a part of the human experience, that we have an obligation to perform intercourse. Also, if an argument of biological existence is made, then why is it limited to humans in the treatment of this manner? What is the difference between existence and living? Do people want to live in a state where they cannot progress, breathe, talk, hear, see, suffer from paralysis and slowly die? People do want to live, and merely existing is not enough. If we just had to exist, then why do we need a spectrum of other human experiences? Why do not we just limit ourselves to sleep, eat, reproduce, etc? There is more to life than existing in such a state.  

Another point is we have the freedom to choose. Our legal system accepts that people have a legal right to choose whether or not to prolong life of a terminally ill patient, as demonstrated by the fact that a do not resuscitate order can be signed by family when a terminally ill patient suffer from cardiac arrest

 Human beings are independent biological entities, and as an adult, have the right to take and carry out decisions about themselves. A human being decides who they spend their life with, their career path, where they live, whether to bear children. Surely a terminally ill sufferer is better qualified to decide for themselves whether they are better off dead or alive? This is why an advance directive (a legal document) is honored. Human beings should be as free as possible and unnecessary restraints on human rights are strongly discouraged. The life an individual rests in the considerations of the consequences of an individual's actions. If we deny them this right, we make a claim that we own their life. We own the product of their time, energy and utility. This is something we must never fall into. Although it may be said from a financial sense, things aren't good; we do attempt to put human life in an invaluable scale. It may be said that human beings are precious for various reasons, but the value of an individual's life can never be determined by the state, another individual or entity. Even though life insurances are in place, the individual's self-assigned worth is what gives the individual its own worth for its very own existence.

My thoughts about the essay that I read is that author made me realize that food is the one of the basic need of human. My thoughts in the conviction and persuasion of the author is WOW! It is stuck in my mind that I shouldn’t waste food because may people are starving to death because of crisis when it comes to food. It made me convince that I should donate goods during “Bigay puso” projects to poor people who are prone to disasters.

My thoughts about the proofs is they are all real and it reflects everyone. When you read this essay you will know what is hunger and that was the good thing that i saw in this essay i have read. Authors reasoning makes me personally feel of hunger  because who would survive when your stomach is empty? the proofs were told clearly and personally to all the readers. they are not frauds they are real and they are very true and many lessons will be learn from this essay. All I can say is nice essay and all of what is need to be read about hunger is already on this simple essay.

"My  Reaction in the selection”

I’m surprised about what I’ve read. I wasn’t updated about this one. I feel informed about the “Torre de Manila. I was amazed for those who make this tower especially the architects. I only saw this when we are travelling but I didn’t stop over to that place so I was shock.

I was surprised also that they only spend a little money. They used recycled materials. I was shocked by the height of the Rizal monument. It was a great sculpture that is made for Jose Rizal. I can say is job well done by the architects and the ones who help in rebuilding this monument. In this selection all I can say is I’m fully informed and I have learn something also while reading the selection.

“History of Greece”

Welcome to the country of Greece. Do you have a background knowledge or idea about the country Greece? Well if you don’t have an idea, I’ll tell you something about the country Greece and the history of Greece. The capital of Greece is Athens.There are also people here in speaks in English but their main language is Greek.Did you know that almost 98% of the Greek people there are Greek orthodox,but the rest are Roman Catholic,Jewish and Muslim Faiths.Do you believe that the opposite country of Greece is the Philippines?why?because in the Philippines,women do the household chores while in Greece men do the household chores.

Base on what I’ve learned about Greece,the official name of Greece is the “Hellenic Republic”.Greece is a country in Meditarrenean. Did you also that 2 longest islands in Greece are Crete and Evia. Here in Greece you can see the 3 seas of Greece and they are the Aegean Sea of southeast, Meditarrenean Sea of south and Ionian Sea of west.

The following qualities of Greek literature are permanence and universality,essentially full of artistry,originality,diversity of talent and intellectual quality.According to history,Greek literature is divided into three periods.The first period is the Pre-Homeric age and the homeric age that extends from the remote entiquity of Herodotus in the year 484 B.C. This period is also the earliest poetry in Greece.The second period is the Athenian period that extends to the age of Herodotus and death of Alexander the Great and enslavement of the Greeks by roman in the year A.D.1543.
