Spoiler for Helluva Boss - Season 2 Episode 12: Sinsmas and all previous episodes of the show.
I noticed something during the Sinsmas episode...
...
It happens during a FULL MOON.
Look, I understand that whoever chose this meant to make the scene more romantic by adding the symbol of their relationship, but WE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT THE FULL MOON ARRANGEMENT WAS BAD.
It was EXPLICITLY told to us that the arrangement was a BAD thing during the Full Moon episode while Stolas tried (emphasis on tried) to apologize to Blitzø for it. For me, the full moon represents how toxic and abusive their "relationship" was (and still is, but let's pretend it's better for the sake of my argument).
And yes, I do believe it was intentional. It isn't the first time that they make details for Stolitz like that. We got Stolas and Blitzø's entire text history on Western Energy, so I don't think they are past making them dance beneath a full moon.
But you know why it makes me so angry?
BECAUSE THE NEW MOON EXISTS.
The new moon would have shown that the crew is actually trying to make a change in how Stolitz is portrayed and how they are trying to make the ship better.
The writers are trying to make it seem like Stolitz is on a new leaf, that they are leaving the horrible (and abusive) start of their "relationship" behind and growing both as people and as a couple, BUT THEY CAN'T BOTHER TO CHANGE THE MOON TO FIT THEIR CHARACTERS' "GROWTH".
But they didn't.
Because they don't BELIEVE there's anything wrong with how their "relationship" started, even though they KNOW it.
I know it is a small detail, but those are what show the true nature of any media, and this one really didn't sit right with me.
