Met up with a friend to study. Catalogue of today's small academic accomplishments: finished a Linguistics midterm, prepared for an Organic Chemistry study group, wrote a draft of my thesis.

Today’s success: I didn’t have too much sugar today!! Big success

Room for improvement: Over-scheduling is no longer fulfilling. I need to be mindful to leave room in my calendar for personal work

Thursdays are for date nights. Unfortunately, every minute if today was scheduled for something. I went to work, then I did tutoring for an hour and at last came over to my bf’s place for a chill date night. We bought tickets to our Berlin trip. I’m excited. I didn’t study today, but it’s ok.

saturday! the plan for the day is to finish some notes, study for a reading comprehension test i have in two weeks, and revise some other content (but in between i'll be watching gilmore girls because she needs some rest too)

Rabbit rabbit! Happy September — isn’t it weird that September is actually the ninth month?

In 45 BCE, Emperor Julius Augustus Caesar inserted two extra months at the beginning of the Roman calendar to fix its drift from the sun. In 44 BCE, the 5th and 6th months (now the 7th and 8th) were renamed in his honor as July and August, but the rest of the calendar was left as it was. Nero once tried to rename September ‘Germanicus’ but it didn’t catch on, and I for one am glad.
