Then I became obsessed with the book I'm writing and then I heard about a musical about two dead lesbians by the summer of 2025 and the rest is history lol

FUN FACT!!!!!!!!!!

In the Spanish dub of the movie, when Madeline drinks the potion, instead of saying "bottoms up" (because that expression doesn't exists in Spanish), she says, “a mi salud,” which is a Spanish expression you could use when someone gives you food or a drink for a special occasion (Christmas, a birthday, an anniversary, or simply because they thought of you and wanted to give you a gift).

When a person says “a tu salud,” it means that they are going to eat or drink what you gave them while wishing you good health and a long life. It is basically a very sweet way of saying thank you.

However, Madeline does not say “a tu salud”, referring to Lisle to thank her for the potion. Instead, she says “a mi salud,” wishing herself a long life and good health.

It’s a detail that has always made me laugh, because even though Madeline does live a long life, the very first thing she does after drinking the potion is die.
