by @instagram “Spotting a piece of garbage in the woods during a walk with his young daughter sparked the inspiration for Jeff Kirshner’s project, @litterati. “Seeing my daughter’s perplexed expression reminded me of when I was a kid at summer camp,” explains Jeff. “Before our parents came to visit, our director made us each pick up five pieces of trash. So I thought, why not apply that same crowdsource cleaning model to the entire planet?” Litterati introduces a social element to cleaning up garbage. The steps are simple: First, find a piece of litter. Second, photograph it with Instagram and share it with the #litterati hashtag. Then throw out, recycle or compost the litter. Your photo is then added to the digital landfill of cleaned-up garbage, and the people who see your photo in their feed are encouraged to participate as well.

Any Man of Mine (Rachel Gibson)

This is the first Chinooks book I’ve ever read and my most favorite one.  It really portrayed separated parents. Sam LeClaire and Autumn Haven didn’t stop fighting during the first year of their divorce, not until they decided not to be in the same room. I cannot blame Autumn for hating Sam so much because of how things went for the two of them. She has every right to despise Sam .But what I loved most about her is that she did everything to ma herself and her child better. She didn’t stop working despite the big amount of support Sam was giving her. She wanted to show people that even  without the financial support,  she can give the best for her child. She’s a very strong woman that I look up to.

Sam was a typical hockey player who likes sex, a lot. He was playful. But what made him different was his conscience. He knew when to be serious. He realized that Conner needed him more while he was going up. He became a more responsible father for Conner at the same time, he was starting to see what he saw with Autumn that made him crazy during their first meeting.

They’re  just the perfect parents for the son and the perfect pair.

Nothing but Trouble (Rachel Gibson)

At first, I was having second thoughts of reading this book. From what I’ve heard, Mark Bressler, former Chinooks Captain, had been involved in a horrible car wreck that ended his career. I get really attach to the characters of what I’m reading that I know it will make me sad if I learn the story of Mark. But my curiosity of how he is going to do for the rest of his life got the better of me. Of course, I knew there has to be a girl. Chelsea Ross showed up on Mark’s porch six months after his accident. Mark wanted nothing to do with anyone, especially someone who tries to control his life. But what made the story unique was the way the two made each others’ life better.

I cried really hard when Mark told his former team mates why he wasn’t at the Key the night Chinooks won.

True Love and Other Disasters (Rachel Gibson)

Honestly, when I was on the first chapters of the book, I did not want Faith Duffy to end up with Ty Savage. What did they say about an ex stripper-slash-Playmate-slash-trophy wife? It was so complicated and disastrous. The risk was not just for Ty but it had so much to do with Faith. She’ll end up embarrassing herself, the team and his late husband Virgil Duffy, who no matter what people thought, she learned to respect and love not just for his million dollars. Their passion and love for each other did not make it easier at first.The stakes are high but true love and other disasters were the only way to win everything.

Trouble With Valentine’s Day (Rachel Gibson)

I so love the main characters. Kate Hamilton’s tenacity didn’t hinder Rob Sutter from lover her. In fact, it made him love her even more. I understand Rob for not taking so much risk at first because of his past. But his cautiousness only made him one hell of a lonely man. Their escape from the past lead them to find each other.

Saying Rob’s proposal lines was great is an understatement. It may had sound clichéd but hearing sincere “I love you and I want to be with you forever. I want you to be my friend and lover. Not for today or tomorrow. Not a year or five years from now." from a big man makes it so sweeter that you’d think you’ll melt before you had time to blink.

Simply Irresistible (Rachel Gibson)

I like Georgeanne Howard so much. Despite being dyslexic, she make sure one will see that part of her. But later on, she learned to live with it rather than hide. I admire for she was a strong woman. As for John Kowaslky, he was determined to get his rights over his child. I like it that he didn’t give up for Lexie. And along the way, they realized that they love each other no matter how they started or how risky their relationship was.

Hands down, forehead on the ground for Kristen Ashley’s The Colorado Mountain Series!

It was worth the time. I didn’t put up with it just to be done reading and move on, but I did it because I NEEDED to and WANTED to.

I needed to finish it because I need to know when Nina’s gonna let Max in and when Tate’s going to give Laurie her sweet dreams. Even more, how’s Ty going to react when he knows he’s being played by Lexie to stop his grand plan o’vengeance or how Faye’s going to bring Chace out from his deepest, darkest secret.

I wanted Max to show Nina reasons to stay in Gnaw Bone. I wanted Laurie to wait for Tate so she could be on the back of his bike. I wanted Ty to get sunshine from Lexie. I wanted Chace to know that Faye is a strong woman who can stand through a lot of shit.

I just can’t sleep without reading a chapter or two. Throughout my reading, I never noticed time. I didn’t know it’s already time to eat. Or, it was already 4 in the morning.

I’ve never been to Colorado. Hell, I’ve never been out of the country. But yeah, I saw, smell, heard and felt the Colorado Mountains. Kristen Ashley made sure that her readers will be where her characters were. She let you feel how her characters felt on each situations. My heart flipped many times. The bad flipping being those times that the people were in danger or the hero and heroin were in the middle of a fight. The good ones were those times I felt her characters were so real I want to meet them. Though it’s series, each book can stand alone. Each has its own characteristics that you will find interesting. I promise, you will love the consistency of writing, just like I did.

The Colorado Mountain Series is a must read, people. It should be said, I’d GAMBLE my everything to get my SWEET DREAMS. I bet LADY LUCK already feels generous to give me more time to BREATHE because of my love for KRISTEN ASHLEY.

This was my first Paulo Coelho book. At first, I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to read the book. But I was kinda bored and had nothing much to do, so I set myself to read it. In the beginning, I found it plain and not interesting but as I go further, I got hooked. And I wasn’t able to put the book down. Each stories of the “insane" gave me something to bring in my life. Their stories touched me deeply, especially the young woman’s.

We may have every material things in life, but there will always be a time where we stop and ask ourselves, “Where did I spend my life?"

Veronika Decides to Die makes you ruminate about life and death at the same time.
