Donât ask me what Iâm thinking.
Iâve spent too much time with you, clearly, all my common sense has gone out the window.
I canât send you post via owl but I thoughtâwellâitâs not as though my mother is checking the Muggle mail. I donât think so anyway. I suppose weâll find out. Iâm not even sure this will get to you. Bertha, she works at the postoffice here, tried to explain to me how it all worksâMuggle mail, I meanâsounds like a dreadful system if you ask me, but she double checked that I addressed this correctly so maybe thereâs a chance itâll make it to you anyway. I hope it makes it to you.
Iâm in Scotland, at the summer house. It's good to get out of the city, and I can fly here which isâwhich helps. My dad loves it, he grew up in the country and mostly just tolerates London for my motherâs sake. He spends most of his days out in the back garden watching me fly. It makes him happy, though Iâve no idea why. Still, Iâll do anything at this point. Heâs worse than he was at Christmas. The Healers donât expect him to last much longer, but then, theyâre always saying that.
Sorry, Iâm rambling. Iâd start over, but Iâve already done this three times and I have to go home soon. Iâve been reading your letters. See, this is where I always get stuck. Itâs the reason for the rambling at the top. Because Iâve been reading your letters, thatâs why Iâm writing this ridiculous letter and sending it in the ridiculous Muggle post. Because every time I read them I justâI just want to talk to you. I miss talking to you. I miss your voice. I miss the way you laugh. I miss your atrocious hair. I miss. I miss. I miss. Thatâs all I do these days.
Well, that and go to the gallery. Iâve visited Patroclus and Achilles a few times, told them you say hi. God, sorry, that was awful, I donât know what Iâm saying. Look, all I meant to say really, is that the letters are beautiful. Your letters are beautiful. And I wish that I couldâthat I could be what you are, to me. I know Iâm not very good at this. But I want to be. For you.
Anyway, this is enough embarrassment for one letter. I donât think Iâll try this again. But I hope that youâre happy, whatever youâre doing, whoever youâre with.
