a hypothetical megastructure that orbits the Earth to help Generate, Harvest & Transmit energy collected from the Sun, especially during the Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)

Solar Tracker & Harvester (by Illiyanna Ibrahim)

The Solar Tracker & Harvester does what it says, it helps to track the sun to get more energy out of the solar panel (where it could create around 30% more energy per day) and the built-in rechargeable batteries help to harvest the remaining energy collected during the day and be transmitted through a USB source.

This prototype was done based on a derivation of a system I choose (the Dyson Swarm) from my Responsive Environment subject, “No Blue, No Green” workshop w/ Enric Ruiz Geli.

Further facts & figures:

I once contributed an article for Sesi Seni, a local zine done by the students of School Of Architecture. In the Issue #03, entitled Taksub (Obsessed), I’ve wrote an article on Starbucks and its branding strategies, of how a Coffee Chain can become a culture. During an invited art event (Neue Artisans 3.0) after a few months of this issues launching, I got a call from one of Desiderata’s publisher wanting me to contribute to their other zine called Odd One Out Magazine.
