LONG LIVE HUEY P. NEWTON!!
Today, February 17, we celebrate the life of Huey P. Newton, co-founder, chief ideologue and leader of the Black Panther Party. His legacy of revolutionary thought and action is written in stone for generations to come to study and follow.
Since the demise of the Party, though, the struggle for freedom has faltered, and black people have become too comfortable with oppression in America, waging war with “peaceful” protests and Twitter storms.
If we would celebrate Huey, let us lift up the bloodstained banner, resurrect the struggle for black liberation and the liberation of all oppressed people, and fight every day for revolutionary change.
A Luta Continua! All Power to the People!
