How many times has this been in a month now that he ended up hearing from Otenko that the House of Time was reacting to something? Honestly, he was starting to wonder if he was never going to catch a real break at this rate. Still.. it could mean a new friend. Might as well try to give this the benefit of the doubt, right?
"I'm off! I'll be back soon!" Django called out, waving bye to Violet and thanking her once again for house sitting the place while he was away. was he guilty? A little, but he made sure Violet and her cat Nero had plenty to eat and drink while they were there. They were even free to use his room too if they did not feel safe heading home on their own. Thoguh he did plan on figuring out a way to make it up to her sometime. How, he had no clue yet. However, he did make a small detour to leave a note for a certain Dark Boy where he was heading to and why.
Just in case. After the amount of times he got pulled into adventures, other times and worlds and what have you, it stood to reason that he would have some back up in case something happened.
Upon reaching the edge of the city, steel grey eyes glance over to the sound of a voice calling out to her. Huh.. red-pink eyes.. Those look.. familiar.. And her build, her posture.. Why.. Okay, why was he being reminded of his brother, this was giving him a headache.
"Hi there. Are you new here? I can give you a tour if you want. Oh! Before I forget!" The blond gave a small smile as he held out his hand, hoping that he was not scaring the other. "My name's Django."
She didn't quite get why he was looking at her in such a manner. Was there something about her that he was skeptical about? She was a little wary, given the fact she'd pulled him and his brother into the future once before.
But a past that would never be the one her life had originated from- the one where the Moon would sleep forevermore.
She watched as he held out his hand towards her. The familiarity was astounding. It was like the Solar Boy she'd brought to her future was standing in front of her, but it was obvious that it was a different Solar Boy. Not the one she knew.
But their names were the same.
"I'm... pretty new here, yeah." Which wasn't a lie. If this were a different past (how many timelines were there?!), then it wouldn't be too far off to say things were different here than they were in the other one she'd gone to.
"Sa-" She stopped herself short, realizing she'd almost said something she shouldn't have. "-Rena. My name's Rena."
There's a slight pause before she slowly, carefully reached out and-
Visions of the Moon, of a Vanargand turned to stone. But something is off. A brown-haired boy bites the purple-haired one, and the purple-haired one fades into sparks of purple not long after.
A pink-haired girl holds out a small bundle to the brown-haired boy, who takes it and leaves without a word. A closer look shows a baby, who seems to be smiling and reaching out to the brown-haired boy. The boy sobs desperately, holding the baby close.
Rena yanks her hand away as if shocked, holding it and staring as her eyes filled with tears. "....Did you see that, too...?"
The moment her small hand held his own, he froze. His whole vision going black, then.. All colored drained from his face. Another him. Another Django who failed to save his brother. Another Django who fell. Another Sabata who fell. Another pair of brothers that were dealt with such terrible hands that the fates they received might as well be worse than death in his opinion. Seeing the pink bundle confused him at first, but...
Realization swiftly hit him hard in the face. While so much about this made no sense, others.. did. It left a sickening feeling in his gut, and in his very soul.
Vanagrand, a being which he loathed to talk about, let alone want to ever deal with again. He was lucky and then some by the grace of a miracle that his own brother was spared the worst of the nightmare. Yes, they both had scars that have been slow to heal, but they were making do with what they got now. Living their lives a day at a time. A step at a time. Granted, Camilla was sealed alongside the beast, both his brother and his master were saved.
So to see that small pink bundle in that vision--
Everything instantly went to black, the nauseating feeling came back for the blond, leaving him reeling while swaying a little. It was clear by the once vacant look in his steel grey eyes that he was disturbed greatly by what he saw.
"... Yes.. I did.." Django was at a loss for words, but to hear her ask, surely she saw too. And yet, some of the pieces were lining up in a worrying way for him. He still had no idea what came over him, but the moment of seeing those eyes filled with tears, he was reminded of a memory he would rather forget. Reminded of a pain no one should have to go through. And in an instant, he pulled Rena in for a hug, holding her close and rubbed her back gently, in a soothing manner. The gunslinger was willing to take his lumps from Zazie, Lita AND even Sabata later. But for right now, this kid needed this. Someone to comfort her at such a confusing but painful time.
"What happened before.. I saw it. But I am not angry. Not with you. In fact, you can stay with me. For as long as you need." This was spoken softly, "It will be alright."
