In some of these Steve’eyes are actually on tony’s chest and I wonder… is he looking for the reactor?? Is he just making sure Tony’s okay? Is he worried for him even when they fight?? Steve??
I want answers.

Fuck.
For all of you who are confussed.
Today I learned my generation is called “The digital natives”, which makes sense because the early/mid-90s was when stuff like digital cameras were invented.
The sad part is, that’s not at all why you are called that.
There’s an assumption that people growing up in the mid/late 90s were native to “digital life”, with computers and all sorts of portable electronics being around from the very beginning for you. What people don’t understand is, just because it’s there, doesn’t mean people learn about it.
Classes like “computer basics” and the whatnot were removed from schools, because “they grew up with it, they should know it” and most people from that age are even less functional with technology than the generations that came before them.
Also, quick note: The digital camera was invented in 1975. It entered widespread use due to prices in the mid to late nineties.
This is good to know. ^^; Thank you so much.
Also I had no idea digital cameras were around in the 70s.
What peeves me off is not every Millennial had access to new technology cause it was relatively expensive. We had a Macintosh Classic until 2001.
I had an NES when everyone had a PS1 or N64.
There’s probably a ton of kids who went through that and still do today.

10 Strange and hilarious Facts About Mo Dao Zu Shi
This is posted on Moxiang Tongxiu (Mo Dao Zu Shi’s author)’s personal Weibo on 31/10/2017, in celebration of the second anniversary of the novel. Translated badly by tumblr user my-otp-list.
1. Fairy is actually a Husky. When I set up this character, I didn’t know that huskies were… not that intelligent, so now in my mind Fairy still has the look of a Husky. Let’s just think that Fairy is an extremely intelligent mutated Husky okay…
2. Lan Qiren has a beard from a young age. However, it was shaved clean by Zangse Sanren. He was so mad!
Later, the son of Zangse Sanren also shaved his beard… (but I did not write about it).
*For those who don’t know, Zangse Sanren is Wuxian’s mother.
3. When Jin Guangyao took in Lan Xichen during his runaway, Guangyao sort of became Xichen’s assistant.
Guangyao helped wash Xichen’s clothes, because Xichen himself did not know how to wash. It was not possible to ask others to wash, because it would be dangerous if the cloud patterns were recognised. Moreover the clothes could not be thrown away or burnt.
Jin Guangyao used to complain to Nie Mingjue that Lan Xichen’s arm was too strong that he tore apart his clothes while washing…
4. It was way too easy to make Xingchen laugh. Both Xueyang and Ah Qing knew about this but they would never tell Xingchen. Song Lan did not know about this, because the dude never ever laughed…
5. Jiang Cheng went to 3 blind dates. For various reasons, he got blacklisted by all the female cultivators.
Here are Jiang Cheng’s requirements in his partner: naturally beautiful, graceful and obedient, hard-working and thrifty, coming from a respected family, cultivation level not too high, personality not too strong, talking not too much, voice not too loud, spending money not too much. And must treat Jin Ling nicely.
6. Lan Sizhui is older than Jin Ling, but both of them are 172-cm tall. Sizhui suffered from malnutrition when he was a child, and only ate bland food when he was growing up, therefore his development is a bit slow…
Lan Jingyi is 168-cm tall.
7. In order to confess to Jiang Yanli, Jin Zixuan specifically hired someone to write a long long long cheesy essay, and he learnt it by heart. Turned out he did not use a single sentence.
One day, after their marriage, he felt that the opportunity had come, so he read it out loud to Jiang Yanli. Upon hearing it, Jiang Yanli gently stroked his cheek, turned her back and walked away. She was graceful enough to not roll on the floor laughing in front of her husband.
8. Lan Wangji has known very early on that Wei Wuxian is afraid of dogs.
Jin Zixuan used to own a dog, and he left it at the foot of Cloud Recesses’ mountain. One day, the dog ran up the mountain right when Wuxian was sneaking in through the wall. The dog snarked loudly at him; he was so scared he immediately ran to hide in a tree. It was Lan Wangji that chased the dog away.
However, Wuxian thought that Wangji did not see him trembling on the tree.
9. Even though Lan Wangji never talks about it, Wei Wuxian discovers that Lan Wangji loves to use all sorts of things to tie him up during (…)
10. Between the seme and the uke, Wei Wuxian was the first character to be set up.
Back then I even ranted on Weibo, “This uke is giving me so much headache; I don’t know what kind of seme I should give him!”
The seme has gone though many changes in personalities, appearances, ages, backgrounds, back stories… such a complicated process!
But in the end, a flash of Heaven’s light came right through me, I slammed the table and chose the very first version - “This is him!“
It can be seen that Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian are fated to be together. No matter what happens, in the end it will always be that person.
I want to know what Jiang Cheng did to get blacklisted. Did he hit all the girls he dated with his magic whip and send barking dogs after them on the off chance they were under the control of Wei Wuxian’s spirit?
step 1: enter room
step 2: interrogate to make sure this isn’t Wei Wuxian back from the dead
step 3: threaten to break legs if she is mean to Jin Ling or unfaithful or something??
Or. Maybe he got rejected at step 1. all he has to do is just. stare at them. Who wants to marry a guy who’s always scowling? This guy either has a perpetual resting bitch face or is two seconds from getting very angry.
he has his good qualities, but they don’t have even the slightest chance of being expressed before he scares people off. xD he may be the leader of the Yunmeng Jiang, but the status is totally not worth the headache.
I mean he is the leader of Yunmeng Jiang, so I expect at least a few women persevered to step 2, or maybe step 3, before deciding that he really isn’t worth it and maybe they should go try and seduce Lan Xichen or even Nie Huaisang instead.
You actually mean “they should go try to queue in the long long long line of ladies that want to seduce Lan Xichen.” I’m convinced that the queue must stretch from Cloud Recesses to Lotus Pier and back 😂 He is the Most Handsome (and most handsome living) cultivator after all.

Post-canon sect gatherings are about to be wild. Listen. Jin guangyao is dead, lan xichen is in seclusion, jin ling is jin ling, and we haven’t met any other competent sect leader ever. Post-canon sect gatherings are p much all on jiang cheng and huaisang to manage. And sure huaisang could help but. He’s a little shit. If it ain’t a qinghe nie problem, he’s not here for it!!! The second sect leader yao opens his mouth, huaisang is halfway out the door! He has no reputation to save and hasn’t slept in over 10 years!!! He doesn’t care! And jiang cheng! Is Jiang Cheng!
—
jiang cheng: and where do you think you’re going?!
nie huaisang, leaving the meeting: stress is bad for the baby
jiang cheng: what baby?
nie huaisang: me. I’m baby
—
jiang cheng: are you taking shots?!
nie huaisang: yeah want some?
jiang cheng: ………..yes give it here
—
nie huaisang: this is the best way to go about this
other leaders: we don’t believe you
nie huaisang, really doesn’t care what they do anymore this meeting has been going on for 5 hours: that sounds like a you problem
—
nie huaisang seeing off those sect leaders who refused to listen to him: bye! I trust in your ability to handle this your way!!!
nie huaisang: there’s a 30% chance they’re all gonna die
—
jiang cheng: slices a table in half
jiang cheng, throwing some money at the broken table: I’ll pay for that
—
other sect leaders: is this… a liability waiver?
nie huaisang: yeah I had some written up after sect leader jiang broke that guy’s legs last meeting? anyways everyone sign one before going in please
other sect leader: maybe…. sect leader jiang could stop injuring people at meetings instead?
nie huaisang: hahaha No. don’t forget to date your signature.
—
jiang cheng: either we start agreeing or I’m gonna get the whip
nie huaisang: diplomacy at its finest
—
nie huaisang: everyone, welcome to the banquet! the unclean realms welcomes all its allies!
jiang cheng: wei wuxian is sucking face with lan wangji right behind you
nie huaisang: this ain’t about them
—
nie huaisang: sorry I’m late. I ran into a problem on the way
jiang cheng: what problem?
nie huaisang: not wanting to come
—
nie huaisang: we need to do something about your temper. how about you just do what I do?
jiang cheng: which is?
nie huaisang: every time sect leader yao talks I imagine shoving my fist down his throat and watching him choke on it slowly, clutching at his neck, as his face turns blue and he dies.
nie huaisang: really puts me in a much better mood :)
jiang cheng: …. noted
—
jiang cheng vividly imagining killing sect leader yao: oh hey
nie huaisang: what did I tell you?
My friend showed this to me and because I wanted a fanfic of this (crack taken seriously), I decided to write my own version with some ideas from the original post, with incorporation of XiCheng because I’m a fan of this ship. Hope it’s not cringey. Please don’t burn me.
It was an undeniable truth that Lan XiChen came out of seclusion to become proper cultivation partners with his intended. Not that he would say he had healed fully from the burden of his sins. He would carry the blood of his sworn brothers in his hands for the rest of his life, but he found it easier to face his demons with Jiang WanYin beside him. And that fact encouraged him to step out into the world once more.
What he didn’t expect was how truly and badly it was needed for him to indeed fulfill his role as sect leader of the GusuLan sect.
No, it was not a problem regarding his sect per se.
“Jiang Cheng…”
His greeting fell on deaf ears as the two men continued their conversation, one with a simmering heat in his arguments and the other with a light but firm melody in his. Their backs were to him, their heads huddled over a pile of documents interspersed with scribbled notes. Lan XiChen patiently stood behind them, catching snippets of their debate.
“Those idiots wouldn’t know ‘compromise’ if it bit them on the nose. How about I shove Zidian down their throa—”
“Nice try.” A sigh. “Much as I fully support the use of torture to get them to see things our way, we can’t afford to burn down another pavilion.”
That had been Jiang WanYin’s doing, apparently, during a meeting in Lotus Pier. Lan QiRen had come home with strands of his goatee still singeing from the incident and his eyebrows quivering from a fury barely held back. Jiang WanYin had been banned from Cloud Recesses for a week.
“Just have them sign a liability contract. I’ll pay for whatever damage I cause but it’s completely their fault if I get tired of their travesty.”
“A liability contract sounds good.” The sound of a quill scratching on paper. “What do you say we have Wei WuXian use Soul Transfer to look for some materials we can negotiate with?”
At this point, Lan XiChen could not allow the talk to go on any longer. One would think that the brash and rough Sandu Shengshou was the deadlier of the two friends, but it was actually the calmer Nie sect leader that really should not be crossed lest one wanted their whole life ripped to shreds, one secret at a time.
“Jiang Cheng.” He raised his voice. Just a bit.
Again, he was unheard. The younger sect leaders were seemingly too immersed in their planning to notice the new presence behind them. Lan XiChen was not quite sure how to feel about being forgotten by his own cultivation partner in favor of a hushed exchange with a close ally. He knew he should be jealous, because that would have been the natural reaction—
A reluctant frown graced his beloved’s features. “Let’s leave that as a last resort. Don’t you have those underlings of yours to do the digging?”
Cue a mocking gasp, then a fan being opened to cover a mouth. “That only works if silver is on the table.”
“You know that’s not even going to be a problem between us.” Eyes were rolled..
The other man’s brows raised in ecstatic wonder.
—but now Lan XiChen was more concerned with the fact that Jiang WanYin was being influenced by this masked trickster.
He cleared his throat, much louder this time, enough for the other two to jump and finally acknowledge his arrival.
“Lan Huan!”
Jiang WanYin immediately scrambled on his feet to greet him, that loose, boyish smile opening his face up only for him to see. Lan XiChen gave himself a few seconds to enjoy the sight before he sent Nie HuaiSang a sharp smile.
“Please, my friend, I would be honored to hear about all your plans for the coming conference.”
With a squeak and a whine, Nie HuaiSang put back on the table all the sketches and notes he had been hiding away. Not even Jiang WanYin himself could distract Lan XiChen from preventing what could possibly become a pandemonium involving his partner.
Ignoring Jiang WanYin’s fumbling for an excuse to steer him away from the issue at hand, Lan XiChen rounded the table and sat on the other side, across Nie HuaiSang. Jiang WanYin had fast given up and surrendered to sitting beside him. Lan XiChen vaguely noted the way he was fidgeting with Zidian and wondered how long the strange alliance between Nie and Jiang had been going on.
This was not the right time to be jealous, he told himself. For now, he had to straighten out these two wayward cultivators.
The first point in Nie HuaiSang’s scribbles: Calculated amount of damages predicted.
What?
It was Jiang WanYin who cleared his throat when they realized that Lan XiChen was blinking at this line. “I tend to destroy something during meetings. Or break someone’s arm.”
“You dislocated Sect Leader Yao’s leg last time.”
“He fights like someone made a poor imitation of Wei WuXian’s Painted Eyes with the spiritual energy of a duck.”
“He nearly started a sect war with you.”
“He challenged me to a duel. That point is moot.”
“Please,” Lan XiChen interrupted the exchange, already feeling a headache about to start. So that was why there was point number ten: Liabilities.
Point number two was… Self-relaxation methods.
Lan XiChen didn’t even think he needed an explanation, but Nie HuaiSang was already supplying it. “Also for Sect Leader Jiang’s benefit.” At this, he was smiling proudly. “I’ve been teaching him ways to avoid harming anyone.”
Lan XiChen was dreading to know, but he just had to ask. “For example…?”
“Instead of acting it out, he can simply imagine how it would be like to grab the person’s neck and strangle—”
“Do continue no more,” Lan XiChen almost groaned. He didn’t need Jiang WanYin to get any more violent than he already was.
At point number three—Strategic locations to place Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian to allow for dual cultivation—Lan XiChen decided to stop and take matters into his own hands. Now he understood what Lan QiRen had been saying about those “two foolish sect leaders leading the cultivation world into a circus show.”
Picking up the list, he folded it several times before tearing it up, then calmly set the pieces on a small pile on the corner of the table to be thrown out later. He smiled at Jiang WanYin’s furrowed brows first then at Nie HuaiSang’s nervous grimace.
“Let us please plan this properly like the adults that we are, shall we?”
oOo
In retrospect, everything had rather gone well. Better than Lan XiChen feared, if he had to say it.
The first two days had been uneventful. The arrangement of the seats had been such that leaders of opposing sects were far apart so no unnecessary arguments could be started. The food and drinks were bountiful and delicious, and the lodgings had been customized according to each sect leader’s preference, so no one could complain about accommodations. Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian, due to Lan XiChen being active once more, did not have to join the conference, so scandalous moments had safely been avoided.
Lan XiChen himself served as the buffer to Jiang WanYin’s easily triggered temper. Whenever he felt Jiang WanYin tensing and saw the sparks going off on Zidian, he would tighten his hold on his hand under their tables, rubbing his thumb in circles on the back. Jiang WanYin wouldn’t look at him, but the tension would fade, his shoulders would loosen, and Zidian’s hissing would quiet. That had been a good preventive measure against Sandu Shengshou wreaking destruction on everyone else.
That was until someone had turned their sneering on Lan XiChen himself.
It was the head of a small sect. Lan XiChen wasn’t narcissistic that he thought no one had anything against him. But it was surprising for someone from an upstart sect to drawl about the ease with which the GusuLan leader, despite having done something as cowardly as entering seclusion, could easily demand respect. Meanwhile, leaders of small sects like his couldn’t even make themselves heard without making a fool of themselves.
Lan XiChen didn’t even realize he wasn’t holding Jiang WanYin’s hand anymore until he saw the man in purple stalking down the seats and stopping in front of the offender.
He might have heard Nie HuaiSang breathing a faint, “Oh, no…” from the other side of the empty seat before all hell broke loose.
Everything was a blur by then. Lan XiChen couldn’t even care to remember what exactly transpired, or how everything had been managed. He did remember pulling a seething Jiang WanYin out of a crumbling building before it totally collapsed. The target of his partner’s ire had been rescued, thankfully, and no one was actually hurt by the incident.
“I meant to scare him,” Jiang WanYin later admitted, much to Lan XiChen’s amusement.
“So scaring Sect Leader Nan meant destroying the pavilion?”
“I didn’t mean to break the pillars! Zidian is much harder to control when I’m angry.”
Lan XiChen had simply chuckled and kissed the frustration away from Jiang WanYin’s brows.
Now, in bed, with Jiang WanYin leaning on his shoulder and snoozing while he drank his tea and remembered the incident earlier, Lan XiChen decided that yes, it had gone better than expected.
At least there were no broken bones this time.

Summary: Jiang Wanyin woke up too early for his liking, so his whole day was a whirlwind of emotions, suspicion, and accidental boyfriend. Oh, did Jiang Wanyin mention that Lan Xichen looked like a kidnapper? He certainly did look like one.
A/N: Please, let Jiang Wanyin sleeps for 8-9 hours a day. He needs it to be a fully functioning human being. Otherwise, this will happen again (≖︿≖✿)
It was a bad day. Today was a bad day for him. He only slept for a couple of hours and woken up at three in the morning for absolutely nothing.
Jiang Wanyin woke up at three in the morning because his room got so cold and the moment he woke up, he couldn’t fall back to sleep. He tried his best to fall back asleep but the noise and things around him were too disturbing. So, he failed. After twenty minutes of trying to go back to sleep, he decided to get up and looked into the darkness of his room. He knew today was going to be a hard day, full of headache and irritation especially irritation.
When his older sister and brother dragged him to the pier, he was reluctant to go. It was unusual for them to want him to come but after his mother talked him into it, he unwillingly came with them. They wanted him to come even though they had their respective partners coming with them and asked for him to prepare their lunch boxes. Jiang Wanyin wanted to knock both of their heads until he could see mountains on them. Yet, here he was sitting on a bench in a crowded touristy area while both his siblings went to get their drinks.
He yawned, the headache and heaviness of his head were dragging him down by every second. There was no mood for him to socialize or even talk to anyone. A Hello coming out from his mouth was tiring, even killing him slowly from the inside. He wanted to go home and fall into the comfort of his bed, maybe getting a little nap to improve his mood. Well, that hope was attempting the impossible because there was no way he could fall asleep in such a crowded place where he risked getting pickpocket.
