Goodbye Manchester, Hello Essex!

One more time, it was not a relaxing journey. 

I had two heavy luggages and a big bag (and I threw a part of my old stuff away...). I got my 1st train just on time as there was traffic on the road to the train station. 

Then this 1st train got late. Then, in London, I couldn't find a taxi. Then noticed a girl that seemed waiting so I asked her if she is waiting for a taxi, she told me "Yes, do you want the number to call them?" so I called them, the taxi took time to arrive. Then we got stuck in traffic. But I arrived just on time to have my 2nd train. 

When I arrived to destination, I was afraid to do not find my host but I found her directly. She seems to be very nice so I think, it's going to be nice living with her. And there will be another girl living with us so it should be nice. 

I love my new room... Fluffy carpet, white and grey shades, white dandelion frames, etc. I love it. I actually love the whole house, completely different of my previous house in which I was living with three guys... 

I didn't have time to visit around for now, but I should during the week so I would do other posts about it soon :)

That awkward moment when...

you realize that at the next school start not only won't you be a student but the teacher.

It is the beginning of the end. 

In a month and an half, it will be the end of my internship. The place where I work mostly hire interns so soon I will be the senior one in the office. 

I stopped counting the people left. It is part of the game of living abroad. You make friends and they have to leave you or you have to leave them one day or another. Soon it will be my turn to leave.

In October, I will start my new job as a French assistant in Essex. I am very glad of this opportunity because I want to be a French teacher, I will have enough time to do a distance learning Master, I will have a decent salary, I should not be far from London, etc.

But I will have to move again, make new habits, new house, new friends, new places. A bit scary. But it will be the 4th time in two years so it should be fine! 

The picture is a floral tea brought by one of my Chinese collegue. He didn't remember the name of the flower but he told us that it was a very sought-after flower in China because it is said to give beauty and youth and that it is growing somewhere up the Chinese mountains. His wife also made us very good dumplings.

Another Chinese collegue offered us solid teas, we have to cut a part of it, to put that piece in hot water and tadaa! She did a little cute package with just a paper sheet : none of the Europeans in the office could fold it back ... 

A French collegue came back to France, we had so much fun in the office with her... Her chair was kept empty for a while, it was her place... Kind of still hers... 

Soon, another French collegue will go back to France for his studies and another French collegue should find a better job, we all wish it for her. 

But it is going to be so empty and sad at the office. Somewhere, hopefully, my internship will end soon...
