hey so does your fic happen before or after turtles forever?

Different continuity! Turtles Forever hasn’t happened and likely won’t happen now in their timelines, the characterisation in that movie doesn’t really line up with what I’m doing in the fic for one, and the other I wanted all the turtles at very specific points in their shows that will let me have a lot of events in one universe parallel the others, so the 2003 turtles are going to be still in the midst of their original story arc. As much as I’d love to address Fast Foward LMAO

That said, Turtles Forever hasn’t had no influence on For Future Reference’s story. But that’s secrets~

Hi!! Thank you sm for asking! I’ve covered at this a few times, but to be fully transparent-yes, I do! I won’t be adding them to the tags until it happens which is why they aren’t there, but they’ve always been part of the major later story plans since the beginning-it’s just that given the chaotic nature of the fic with all it’s various story lines, 03 isn’t going to be introduced until some of the initial plot threads get more resolved. I consider them marking the start of “Act 2”, in a way!

That said-there has actually already been a veryyy small hint that explains how they’re going to be brought in already, in chapter 15~

#one of my favourite scenes in this story is actually with 03 Donnie #but it’s so deep into final stage spoilers territory I haven’t been able to talk about it with ANYONE #So trust me no one’s more excited for them than me AHA #cursing my wrist injury these last few months dawg I gotta get chapter 30 published before 2030 at LEAST #hope you have a good day anon!#for future reference au

Hi!!! Yes I am planning to! I can’t make any promises unfortunately on the when it’ll happen so it might still be a bit longer, but I actually started going over everything again recently and would really love to get back into it! I need to resort everything since it’s been a while, but the project isn’t canceled :D!

Also thank you sm for asking??? It genuinely means the world that you guys have stuck around for this long, you’re all amazing and I hope I can do you all justice once the wait is finally over 🫂
